Hot goalie. One of the best defenseman in the game. One of the best centers in the game. One of the best scorers. Great depth and supporting cast. High tempo.possession oriented.

I hope joe Thornton takes a five minute long lap when he gets passed the cup. Will be epic.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but this Orpik suspension may just be the best thing for the team. He's obviously awful, and was on the ice for 4 of 5 goals against. Do I think Chorney is "better" than him? Maybe, maybe not. But the difference is Trotz thinks Orpik is some big minute, shut down horse, so he's out there against the Crosbys and Malkins. Chorney will be hidden, and the heavy minutes will be picked up by more capable guys (Nate Schmidt included). The disparity in perception of Orpik's skill, and its impact on his ice time is dangerous and terrifying. As long as Orlov isn't out the ole'ing everybody, then I'll be happy.

doing a pretty bad job rigging for the Pens when they didn't make the obv 5+game call, especially when it was pretty clear that Maatta was bye bye

maybe 2 games would be more reasonable considering precedent, but who cares, Orpik blows

I think it is pretty weird/stupid to complain about the suspension on THAT hit. Pretty scary that Trotz thinks Orpik getting 3 games is a loss for the team, and it shows with his deployment decisions. Overall Trotz has been ok, but he makes some truly awful lineup decisions.

Still, Pens obviously are lol, and the league always looks the other way when they're running around like dip ****s. Letang didn't even get as much as a talking to by the league for his 1st round hatchet job

It's a 3-way war between the hockey gods, the owners/Bettman/refs, and Pierre McGuire.

Riggage for any individual team can hurt or help anyone depending on the situation.

Nothing ever gets reported because of the intense system of checks and balances in place to keep any of the players from getting too out of hand.
