What is the arena situation for the Islanders? Are they going to be staying in this arena for a while because it seems stupid for them. Unless they are going to make improvements to the arena.

It's weird, I know guys that played with Kovy when he was in the NHL and they said he was one of the greatest teammates they've ever had.

Looks like goalie equipment changes are coming.

I'm all for this, bigger nets bad idea, form fitting goaltending equipment without sacrificing safety is a no brainer to me.

yeah i'm sure the normal sized equipment thing will last for like 5 minutes before everyone starts cheating again

just make the nets bigger, **** goaliez, lol them, etc

There are lots of things I don't understand about NHL coaching/management but how Therrien still has a job is, by orders of magnitude, the most baffling.

lol more goals. The 80s were a huge joke, and there should be asterisks next to players from that era.

You really want to see 8 goals per game like 1981-82? That's awful. There's more goals per game than there was right before the lockout.

I mean, I think the NHL is super fast and exciting as ever but I do not really like seeing goalies make fluke saves by there super bulky jerseys. Increasing goals isn't a bad thing as it could create more excitement.

Sweet lord it finally happened, Clode putting slow crappy Hayes on the 4th line. Pretty ridiculously deep group when you know how good Belesky-Spooner have been:

Marchand-Bergeron-Stempniak
Eriksson-Krejci-Pasta
Belesky-Spooner-Connolly
Ferraro-Acciari-Hayes

Feels weird having a good 4th line again with young guys who try.

Yeah you won't see me being really pro Debrusk. The Zboril pick was pretty much where he should have gone (and we'll see if he gets his head out of his ass, he has all the tools), and actually the Senyshyn pick is probably going to wind up being the best of the bunch. But yeah Debrusk vs Connor or Barzarl or Chabot...that'll be talked about for a while.

The player he was traded for, Stefan Matteau, has one assist and a minus-3 rating while averaging 10:25 of ice time in six games with the Canadiens.
