#Oilers have placed Spooner & Rattie on waivers. If both clear, & are assigned to the AHL, Oilers would still be $1.395M in full cap value above the ceiling.

By our calculation, that's the equivalent of 2 additional assignments, or a trade, in order to activate Sekera off LTIR.

hockey players dumb way too often when it comes to contracts. Imagine signing up for 8 years in edmonton.
Hopefully Tavares and Karlsson will lead a movement toward actually reaching FA.

these guys are so scared of switching teams and getting ppl MAD @ them

Bobrovsky & Panarin both walking from Columbus this summer will be crazy, if it happens
same with Stone, Duchene, Dzingel, etc in Ottawa

and weather and everything else aside, the other excellent reason not to play in Edmonton is that the media are all literally insane company men happily carrying water for maybe the worst GM in the league

from today:

tfw a 141pts pace over 21 games is interpreted as dogging it as some kind of political protest

these guys are amazing, they **** all over literally all of the players all the time, including McBust
