33 shots in 5 periods. Hardly a steal.

Preds absolutely dominated that game and were rewarded with a lucky bounce from suters shot behind the net to tie it up. i know smashville is a defensively sound team but never would have thought they'd hold Vancouver to just 15 shots through regulation play.
Lou was great up until suters goal and Rinne obv stole the show in OT with three massive saves. Would have been heartbreaking for Rinne to lose that game after those saves in OT and going down 2-0. 1-1 series now and this series could tilt Nashvilles way if they learned how to score on the power play. their PP is beyond awful.

obv this dude didn't watch the game. Bieksa had a wide open net, Rinne stopped him. Lapierre had Rinne committed to one side and off balance, Rinne robbed him. The Canucks had many chances, Rinne robbed 'em. He stole the game, well deserved.

Yes.. I saw 2 of them last night. One, a section over and the other carried by a guy in front of me down the street after the game. I see them all the time at Sharks home playoff games.

pretty sad to be even at 1-1 after being 90 seconds away from the win, and having most of the good scoring chances in OT, despite getting out PP'd 4-1 (and 2-0 in OT). really want to win Game 3 (and then 4), this is ridiculous.

I expected the nucks to play like **** in game 1 because they had only one day off after game 7 OT win vs Chicago. However, they dominated the entire game.

Game 2 was a different story. They looked tired out there.

Good thing they have two days off now before game 3.

I think he might've had more saves in overtime than in regulation. I remember them saying Vancouver had only 14 shots and it was pretty late in the third. And several of them were very high %age chances. It shouldn't have gone to OT in the first place but once it got there he absolutely stole it.

didn't want to say anything earlier, maybe i didn't want to jinx the possibility, i don't know, but i think it was during the Chicago series that i saw some report that Manny Malhotra was spotted at a game without sunglasses on. you see after he injured his eye, and had surgery on it (at least twice, i think), in all his public appearances he appeared with shades on. maybe to protect the surgically repaired eye, or maybe to protect people from what it looked like. so that was good.

all along i've just been hoping that he could one day return to the team and play hockey again, maybe for next season. but then i heard another report yesterday or today that he traveled with the team to Nashville. since the injury happened they said that he was out for the year, but has the situation changed? is it possible that he might return to the lineup, and soon? or is he just traveling to be a part of the team and for moral support.

does anyone have any information on this? has he even been skating or anything? would be pretty great if he came back, pull a "Willis Reed" back at home for Game 5 or something, people would lose it.

I heard Jeff Marek or someone like that say that Malholtra is traveling to Nashville but everyone at CBC or TSN or wherever this was mutually agreed it was for moral support.

After what happened to Ian Laperriere last year, if he comes back I will be shocked (though the extent of their injuries are probably somewhat different).

Oreskovich is out, Samuelsson goes from line 1 to checkers. I like the move. Injured or not, Samuelsson is not playing well. I was hoping Edler would slide back into the PP1 unit as soon as he got back. Samuelsson makes some nice passes, but there are times when he makes bad decisions on point.

yeah Samuelsson has been awful, along with Raymond and Ehrhoff really. i have no idea why AV was keeping him in the top-6 and on PP1 when it was clear as day that he's been garbage. usually he isn't hesitant to jerk him around either, even when he is playing ok. plus Ehrhoff & Edler with the Sedins & Kesler on PP1 has been almost unstoppable at times, i don't know why he'd want to mess that up either.

yeah i figured this was the case, but it's fun to pretend.

seems sort of weird though, because i've always understood that in the vast majority of cases injured players are sort of segregated from the team in this league, kept away for some reason. don't know why that is exactly, maybe a mental thing, like it's just a needless distraction or something.

but i guess they want Manny around. everyone has spoken about what a great leader he is, and what character he has, so maybe his presence will inspire them. kind of crazy how he's come in and become one of the real leaders of this team in less than a season.

come on boys, LET'S DO IT FOR MANNY!!!
