It has nothing to do with the fact that he left, i hated his gut last year as well, and for sure wouldnt of wanted to take him back for anything above 2m. He was effective when he first arrived here, but his quality of play steadily declined. He brings a lot of experience, but his performances are decreasing every year that goes by.

And by the way, in the second year of his contract he'll be 39 years old, and he aint no Lidstrom.

Jeff Halpern left and I still have nothing but praises to give for the quality of his play in his role. And this analysis is totally unbiased by the fact he left or the team he left to.

What is it with southeast division teams hoarding specific groups of people?

Caps-Russians
Bolts- GOQBs
Florida- Ex-blackhawks
Jets- Black players
Canes- Gingers and Sutters

I think LAK will be this year.
If you take away the divisional (+conference) differences, I think LAK will have more points.
*Assuming that Doughty signs and plays.

As for actual cash, without poker transfers it's not going to happen. But I would wager on it.
