He'll definitely stay, and he'll probably take a hometown discount to do so. This is the only place he's really played well over the last 5 years, and he's repeatedly talked about his friendship with Jarome, how his family loves Calgary, etc.

It'll be multi year and probably anywhere from $2 mil-2.5 mil/yr. And he could definitely get more if he wanted to, but I don't expect him to leave.

Glencross, on the other hand, probably walks when he gets overpaid on July 1st by a team that thinks his ceiling is higher than a 20 goal, 40 point guy (it's not).

Detroit, nothing to play for, no Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kronwall, etc, on the road in one of the toughest buildings in the league, against a rival. and with a win, the Blackhawks can GTFO of my business, so that the Canucks can play a KANGZ team without Kopitar & Williams. i don't ask for much, but please, please, please let this happen.

and again, i know you hate Kesler/Burrows but they've almost entirely stayed out of that stuff all year. Kesler getting involved with Regehr there was like the first time in forever i've seen him mix it up (Burrows has mostly left that stuff alone too really). and Burrows was skating the other way, and like 20 feet away from Iginla when he went after him. then he's gonna show him up by dropping the gloves? gmafb, of course Burrows isn't fighting Iginla. what's the point? go play with your kids or something! then Stajan of all people spears Lapierre for some reason, wtf?

yeah your team has had a tough year, but i was getting tilted by the gooning it up stuff, while you were getting all the PP's too somehow. find some centers, keep Tanguay with Iginla, and you'll be in the mix again next year. Backlund will be good, but he'll need help. i feel bad for Morrison too, hopefully he can rehab and make an impact again next year, even if is with you guys.
