I'll bet on the O/U. I can't bring myself to root for either team.

Over/under on number of posts in this thread? 1859 on the playoffs' third day. Could it surpass the regular season thread...

There's going to be a lot. Hell, I've already got 140 after only one Flyers game.

It's all contigent on which teams continue advancing and how they matchup. Pens/Caps and Sharks/Nucks/Red Wings matchups would bring about a ****storm of posts.

examples of these 'real' crowds please. I've been to hundreds of NBA games and dozens of MLB games and it certainly isn't those crowds. Unless you are talking Non-North America, the only thing I could imagine you are referencing is NFL and those fans have to be crazy just to sit through as boring an event as a live NFL game.

edit - the hockey crowd's I'm defending are in actual hockey markets, not in places like Anaheim or even LA where I have seen games and I agree it is LOLbad.

He's from Austria or something, so he probably means football (soccer) crowds, which are unquestionably better than anything in North America. I still think the crowds in good hockey markets (like Vancouver) are still pretty lame.

If by football crowds, he means hooligans shanking each other and rioting the streets, then we always have the Habs fans.

I'm thinking four of the series tonight will be 1-1, and Chicago takes the opener in that series.

how is that different from now?

yeah it was mostly sabres fans and me iirc. there wasn't really a regular season thread - stuff happened in the NHL and it got separate threads; SE's traffic is probably 10x higher now than it was then.
