this is true if the guys on your team are fast i could see a 6 on 4 being better in some cases because theres more congestion in front of the net to block the goalie

a lot of this debate depends of the impending face-off. If you lose the face off clean and they clear it all the way down you are wasting a chunk of the two man advantage time. If you already have a good possession going and are cycling the puck well looking for a good chance you can get the goalie off and have a two man advantage set up with possession already as opposed to needing a face-off win.

I've always hated a large section of Red Wing fans because they are so ****ing dumb. All these people I work with are convinced this whole series is a conspiracy against the Wings because the NHL owns the Yotes and Bettman hates the Wings.
