And we got Chicago's GM, yay!

Well I guess I deserved that...but knock it off, ok? Otherwise I might just stay up, keep drinking and banning people until the sun comes up...

I was thinking 1 round for sure, would really have to do some research for 2-3 rounds though. Filling all 30 teams might be a problem though, but we should try. Could be fun.

Yeah, some people might have to take two teams. But the 2nd round is where it gets fun.

Actually, if it makes you feel any better, the Sabres will beat the Canucks in the final some year. Final 1 the Canucks lost to the NYI, then the NYR on the 2nd try, so naturally the 3rd team from NY State will beat them the next time they make it, right?

I don't think you can cheer for both teams in a rivalry as heated as that one. It's kinda like you can't cheer for both the Yankees and the Red Sox, you can't cheer for both Celtic and Rangers, etc etc. But meh, your perogative.
The Leafs-Habs rivalry might be one of the oldest and most epic, but it's not the nastiest. It's built on respect. And that's why I like the Habs. I have respect for them. Yes, we hate each other more than anything while we're playing, but once the Leafs are out, I respect the Habs more than any other team in the NHL. It's all about having respect for your enemy I suppose. They're the best two hockey franchises all time and there's no way you can't respect that. In fact, hockey is built on respect for your enemies. On the ice, you want to kill the other guy, at least, real hockey players do, but once the game or fight is over you can shake his hand and say "well done." I dunno. Maybe everyone else is too pussy or not chivalrous enough, but there's nothing wrong with knowing your rival and thanking him for being good enough to make it hard on you... after all, the easy things don't improve you, the hard things are what make you better.

wish there was such an easy idea of who the Sabres will lose to in the Cup next.

Goes Philly then Dallas.... Only trend is going down south and more west so Phoenix?

They did lose both those series in 6 games, and of course there is the dead bat

We are screwed...

Both of his assists on Malkin's PPG were pretty pedestrian, but his other two assists were all set up by him. I know you don't expect anybody to call you out on stretching 2 phantom assists into 3, but I have no problems doing so.

Ovechkin had a pretty mediocre game tonight and wasn't much of a factor aside from one nice assist on Backstrom's tying goal. Pretty much all of his other points were just great plays from Backstrom. And since you love to whine about Crosby's rebound goals, what do you make of him spearing Halak for his only goal of the series?

/keevin.

lol montreal is closer to NYC than buffalo... islander and ranger fans don't think of Buffalo as a NY team at all

but yes, if buf and van meet in the finals it is fate for the empire state to have the trifecta against vancouver

but on the bright side, you guys have better weed and gave the world pamela anderson, so i'd hardly call you guys losers

Can I get a gif of Ovie crushing those two hapless Habs in the first couple seconds of the nhl.com highlights? We can ignore the goal that gets scored seconds later though... Just need the hits ty
