8-game winning streak for the Coyotes, 2 points out of 1st, this is just borderline ridiculous now.

This is a really nifty goal from Daniel Sedin, I've gotta give him that. 3-3...and Vancouver is all over Detroit here.

Back to back games with .3 seconds goals for the wings? then 2 goals in 5 seconds during the game? so sick

Detroit with 3 late goals on this 3-game Western Canadian road swing to steal 5 out of 6 points. Unreal.

With this kind of luck, Calgary's gonna have to catch Colorado. Detroit clearly won't drop points running like this.

Wowow Quick with a great save on Okposo with 10 seconds left to keep the game 1-0 Kings.

Another horrible night for the Flames. Calgary might need to win 8 out of their last 11 just to bink 8th.

Woah the Red Wings are in 8th? When was the last time they started a series on the road? I heard a stat last yr that they've had home ice in something like 19 consecutive series'. That's pretty gross.

No way Phx can keep up their run to the top...

Sure they won 8 in a row, but 4 of them were in a shoot out.

And look who they beat Carolina, Atlanta, TB, FL who are all pretty much EC chumps.
Then Anaheim, Colorado, Chicago and Van, with 2 out them being in a shootout..

They are 11-4 in shootouts which has to be close to #1 in SO and wins via SO FWIW.

...But thats not the only reason why they can't sustain it. They play 8 of the last 10 vs WC teams in playoffs already Chi/Nash x 2/Col/Van/LA/SJ then Calgary who is in dogfight for #8 and Dallas who they play tomorrow so its LaBarbera time in goal...they also play Edmonton in there.

SJ pays a tough schedule also, and they appear to be in playoff mode which as we know is not a good mode for them though they do have a game in hand on them...

Only battles left for divisions are NJ/Pitt (we already know my opinion) and that 1 plus the WC top seed is still up in the air.

Thank god outside of the top 4 in the EC everyone else sucks and most races are complete.

I just realized the Flyers are 5th right now on account of having fewer games played than Ottawa and Montreal. If that stands there's a decent chance of a third consecutive playoff matchup between the Pens and Flyers. That would be pretty awesome imo.

I just wish the playoffs would start already, the final stretch of the regular season is going to be pretty boring. Only Calgary and Detroit figure to have a shot at 8th with St. Louis as a slim possibility. In the East it's wide open, but I don't find myself caring who makes it or not - I don't think any of them have much of a shot at getting past the first round.

As long as we hold off the Devils I'll be pretty happy though. God I hate them right now - way more than the Flyers or anybody else.

Detroit running hot right now at end of games. Just saw the standings and holy **** Nashville is flying up the standings!

Looks like the Avs and Kings better get their **** together the way Nashville, Detroit and Calgary are playing

Kings are fine, they're tied with Nashville and have two games in hand. Colorado should probably be a little worried though, but they have a decent enough cushion to play with and two teams would have to jump them. I don't see that happening, although I'd rather have either Calgary and Detroit in over Colorado if I had the choice. The playoffs wouldn't be the same without them.
