It's almost as if the poor start is the anomaly skewing the stats. Furthermost, I think what he's done this season as been very impressive, considering that the team in front of him has been quite poor at times, especially the defense.

Nabokov looks to be having a very good season as well, and I wouldn't accuse you of cherry-picking by looking at a 25-game stretch. That's a pretty significant portion of a NHL season, and certainly tells us something about how he's playing. That record is pretty sick, if those numbers are true.

I was kidding about the cherry picking... oh, and yes, those numbers are 100% true.

Flames getting ready for another 4 games in 5 nights...this schedule really sucks.

Hopefully Jokinen gonna Kostitsyn or do something on this trip. So sad, I had such high hopes for him. Sigh.

I just remembered though, Ray Whitney is gonna make everything alright post-Olympic break.

Wrane forgot to mention itt, went up to Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ont. for New Year's. I know you snowboard but I don't do anything and I haven't skiied since I was 13, so dudes recommended snowblading for me. Just like skating ftw. 15 cm of fresh powder both days we were there, so sick.

You would've been proud of me sir. Proud I say.

Nice!

I've never snowbladed before but it certainly seems fun. Especially on a quiet mountain with little jumps and it doesn't matter if you wipe out. Surprise, surprise but the snow here in Vancouver was a slushy mess. Don't know about Whistler but all the other mountains were terrible. FWIW, it didn't even SNOW in Vancouver. Global What?

Haha, it's always the skiers that make fun of the snowblades.

Review of the Verizon Center. It really does have everything right there, and is a great place to watch a game.

The Kostitsyn brothers are still out, listed as day-to-day. Both have lower-body injuries and coach Jacques Martin said that while they're improving, the two are not ready to return yet. So they did not accompany the team to Washington, nor did defenceman Ryan O'Byrne, who has returned home to B.C. for family reasons. Expect the same lineup vs. the Capitals tomorrow as you saw yesterday vs. Buffalo.
Oh well, I guess we'll get shutout again.
