3rd and a 5th for braylon, they have a 5th in this draft for winslow, although they got a 2nd last year too.

Looks like they picked Massaquoi with the Winslow trade. Being results oriented Massaquoi + 3rd + 5th + 5th for Braylon and KW2 and keeping in mind the latter would need contract extensions seems like a coup. Presumably you can sign those 3 picks and a few free agents for the cost of retaining the other two.

Looks like Winslow is either the highest paid tight end in the NFL or in the top 3. No idea where Braylon stands with his extension relative to other receivers. I imagine he's getting overpaid.

The stupidest coaching rumour is firing Raheem Morris. Why would you hire a 32 year old proven HC on a team with very little talent if you plan on firing him when they go 4-12.

yeah, there's no way morris gets fired.

No clue. They knew going into the season he might not be ready for the job but didn't want another team to move on him. And they fired a Jon ****ing Gruden to bring him in! Unless he is TOTALLY clueless you cannot fire him.

Aside from the obvious teams with a bye, what team is the most capable/probable of getting on a heater and tear **** up in the playoffs?

Cowboys and Packers are capable of playing at a very high level on both sides of the ball. No real weaknesses. They don't even have to go on a big heater... just play to their abilities. Arizona can I guess. In the AFC I don't see any teams. Pats, Ravens, Bengals, Jets all have major flaws in some areas. Seems unlikely any of them would win it all without getting lucky.

I just want to see Vikings/Packers happen because all the Favre stuff leading up to the game will be hilarious. I also want to see the Colts win it all.

Against playoff teams...

Minnesota 4-1
New Orleans 3-1
San Diego 3-1
Indianapolis 2-1
Dallas 3-2
Cincinnati 3-2
NY Jets 3-2
Green Bay 3-3
Arizona 1-2
New England 2-3
Baltimore 1-6
Philly 0-4

Concern for Philly? Not only 0-4 but a point differential in those games of -62. Interesting that the two teams 1-10 against other playoff teams were #1 and #2 in DVOA in week 16.

They fired Gruden, so I wouldn't put anything past them. I agree with you thought.

How often do the Colts lose after resting?
There was a Denver team that went 13-3 back in the '90s (1996), but 1-2 in the last three, and... oh yeah... LOST TO FREAKIN' JACKSONVILLE!

Look, if you think these teams can flip a switch, more power to you and them, but the anecdotal evidence just keeps building.
Although I agree with this assessment, if you listen to mark schlereth talk about that Bronco's team, they lost because of a horrible game plan against Jax.
