Fwiw it is really close as to whether or not Collie is still defenseless or had completed the catch and was a runner (he had like 1.5 steps after the catch, I think 2 is needed for possession) but when it's close the refs will always throw the flag and it's pretty naive to think anybody at all would not be results oriented in that situation as well.

Edit: And I don't know what replays bigt2k4 was watching but there's really obvious helmet to helmet contact.

I think the flag was okay, but I really hate the idea of turnovers due players 'fumbling' because they got KOd by a hit to the head.

Yeah, the call was wrong, but at the same time, a guy is laying motionless on the field for 5 minutes. He could be paralyzed or even dead. Say a prayer, bow your head, or do nothing. Whatever floats your boat, but booing about a blown call while a dude might well be dying on the field is ****ed up.

Cliffs:
PHI got jobbed on the call
Some things are more important than a football game.
Fair enough.

I'm not surprised a situation like this came up so soon, and it was indeed ugly. Fans, for the most part, aren't really in agreement with the rule changes IMO. And when you get a call like this one, coupled with an injury, its going to result in a weird situation where the fans are disgusted with the call, and seeking to voice their displeasure, but probably shouldn't b/c of the injury.

Nonetheless, at no point did the eagles fans boo collie.

All of these hit have also been helmet to helmet though, and they all drew flags.

I don't think its close at all whether he caught the ball.

Great news. Collie sitting up and alert in locker room.

there is no way the refs overturn the flag imo, so even if they call fumble, it's still colts ball

If I was a coach, not to make light of something that was quite scary and I had emotions going all over the place (I thought he could be seriously injured), I would tell my guys going over the middle or whenever that if you get hit hard, just lay there.

I don't think the eagles fans were directing their booing towards collie, but it was still a disturbing thing to witness.

Collie lying motionless on the ground possibly paralyzed, with doctors and staff huddle around looking concerned, a philly player going ******* over the ref's call, and the philly crowd booing and jeering v loudly.

Its pretty hilarious how trained the colts receivers are to call for a flag on any incompletion.
