What? He caught it going to the ground. He made zero moves with it while on the ground and then the ball was knocked out. The only difference between it and megatron is that it's the defender and not the ground that knocks it out. Oh and that in megatrons case the ball came out way later

I don't disagree with your logic, but nfl should enforce it or change the rule imo. Failing that, treating it consistently seems to be the best approach.

No, clear and easy catch. When going to the ground you have to complete the catch until down and he was in contact with an Eagles player and thus down. He had the ball in his control after being down and then another Eagles player wandered over and punched the ball out.
