yeah and one that's famously worked a few times, ironically enough a couple time against the Colts. and agree with the bolded, put the ball in the refs court.

Yeah, I was surprised by that line as well, CDL. I expected AZ -1 or PE. Just goes to show how mashed up teams are. ATL's 15th per market.

What's it like having an offensive line?

I chuckled at the point someone was making on ESPN (I think that former Colts GM) about Jim Irsay's decision to draft Luck, something along the lines of, "He told me he wasn't going to make the same mistake his father had made with Elway." As if Elway REALLY wanted to play for that idiot but he somehow dropped the ball and let Elway get away.

Wouldn't be surprised to Finley either a) retire or b) have a Jahvid Best situation where he's just basically out forever.

Sad stuff.

Man I didn't realize how easy Irsay had it. Dad died in 1997, wins court battle with stepmom for 100% of team, draft Peyton in 1998, be good for a long ass time, suck for one year, draft Luck.

Jesus Christ.

Cliffs on why Atlanta is such aids? Guess they've had some injuries, but haven't paid too much attention to why they suck. They usually wait for the playoffs to be an abortion, wtf!

When you have no running game, a suspect defense and your two Pro Bowl receivers are hurt you're gonna have a bad time.

Brian Cushing on IR with torn LCL and broken fibula.

Got hit low by a Jamaal Charles helmet while his foot was planted.

apparently defense still matters. offense looks decent.

It's funny how the Jaguars are huge outliers as worst offense and worst defense.

Offense

27 TB -25.2
28 NYG -30.0
29 NYJ -30.3
30 HST -33.0
31 ARZ -41.5
32 JAX -72.1

Defense

27 NYG 45.2
28 SD 45.4
29 DEN 48.5
30 MIN 48.8
31 ATL 48.9
32 JAX 73.9

matt ryan first half this year 1052 yards with 76% completion, 8TD no pick
2nd half 870 yards 64% completion 5TD 3INT

the trend is true for last year too. atlanta offense seems to just suck coming out of the half.

Polian is even more insufferable / lucky

first year in Buffalo: get handed Jim Kelly
first year in Indy: have #1 draft pick when Peyton happens to be available

those 2 single things were responsible for the vast majority of the success he ever had, and 1 he didn't even make. (he had success briefly in Carolina, yeah)

Peyton seems like a legit great guy and an all time talent, the idea he created so much success for these 2 guys is

But yeah, you'd think he'd have broken at least a couple more off just by chance. You'd be wrong, though!
His horrific vision is the real problem. He can't see holes at the LOS and he basically never sees cutting lanes when he actually does break into the second level.
