Just not sure there is value to be found betting the Texans at what feels like a low point.
Yeah. Happy I held off. Texans odds to win the AFCS reached +275 and wondered if it was worth a small price.

Yeesh. Bad.

Bit seriiusly, dude, why did the same rain not beat the Bungles?

at this point i'd put new england, new orleans, denver, seattle, sf, chicago, indy, green bay and potentially even detroit all in the same tier in terms of legitimate super bowl equity

then you have the bungles and chefs in the next tier who are both done ENORMOUS disservices by the fact that cincy has a qb who's less valuable to his team than his WR (which should NEVER be the case for a supposed super bowl contender) and then you have the chefs who both have hopelessly terrible smith as their qb and a 6-0 record that's a complete and total illusion. they could go 13-3 losing only to denver 2x and indy and i'd still consider them inferior to every team already listed + the bungles
4th and 10th are a bit close but to call Denver and Seattle or even NOLA close to the Lions or Bears is FPS.

swidt?

Horrorshow, you should be able to answer that yourself. Consider when it started raining and each team's personnel.

Then ask yourself who a neutral field favorite is between NE and CIN.

saying the rain was the reason for the Pats losing that game is pretty revisionist imo, they were like <27%wp for the entire 4th quarter

Not saying Bungles > Pats but citing ignores how overall bad NE played that day.

It's hard to argue against wiki.

Seemed like Brady had problems holding the ball.

He had a lot of problems against the blitz. That's been the "all things being equal" problem for them. The injuries are a big part of that but the rain didn't beat the Pats that day.

This is hard to argue with. NE has the most upside of all these teams and Chi/Cincy the lowest. Brady seems "off" but not in a way that makes me think he's ****ed, if that makes sense. Gronk really is the key here, he just changes everything about the offense. Vereen is another guy who will make life easier for the team.

I find the Indy hype itt to be pretty funny (and lions too) and IRM's tier of half of football having the same equity was of course hilarious.

The NE WR's have gotten a lot of grief for drops but Brady has missed some easy long gainers, both vs pressure and not. Hes just missing guys who have TD equity if they make the catch over the top..seems to do it a few times a game.

yeah was it leatherass centered? has he started peeing out his window during sessions or something?

my fav leatherass moment is when he had some witch doctor with him who had him hold a bag of cheetos and try to stop his arm from being moved (he couldn't) but when he held an apple he was able to resist the force.

Rain was fortunate for Cincy but that defensive performance was very impressive....nothing should be taken from the bungles win last week, well deserved.

lol @ all idiots who thought Jax vs. Alabama would be a closer game than Jax vs. Denver.

Jax lost 35-19 to the best team in the NFL and the GOAT QB.

LOL @ Alabama coming within 16 points of Jax.

LOL COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Took Alabama an entire quarter to score against Kentucky. Lol McCarron against an NFL defense right now.

It's funny I was like higher on Indy than anyone when the Trich trade happened and everyone convinced me I was way overrating them and now a lot of people are ranking them higher than me. I think they are prob in the 9-11 tier with DET and DAL.

It was leatherass saying he hopes ADP gets paralyzed for playing in a football game 2 days after his kid died.

But you're forgetting The Great Nick Saban went 15-17 in a bad AFCE division then left the NFL to coach 18 year old impressionable kids. Don't you think he could destroy the Jags by 30 points with those 18 year old kids?

If vereen and Gronk come back healthy I would take NE over NO on a neutral site to win more often. Right now I would agree that NO is the better team, but down the stretch I don't agree once this New England offense is clicking again with all of its parts. Amendola Edelman and Gronk in the middle. Ridley running good again. Thompkins getting more and more chemistry with Brady. Vereen as a change of pace back and catching a lot of passes. This team will look a lot better down the stretch.

This Texans-fans-cheering-Matt-Schaub-injury media narrative is a bit overblown.

Especially funny since moments later they show Yates throw a pick-6 and call it a "Schaub" while cracking up like the suicide-attempting crackheads they are.

I never said they all have the same equity, and if I did that's not what I meant. My main point was that none of those teams are significantly better than any of the other and to break them up into tiers suggesting x and y are definitively better than a b and c doesn't really hold

The Gronk-Amendola-Vereen-Edelman-Ridley et al. offense is as much of a chimera as the vaunted Gronk-Hernandez system. The Pats had an offensive vision, and it all went to ****. I like that they are winning close games with scrubs and a focused defense, but this is not sustainable.

Pats held Graham to 0 catches today, though. Talib has been doin' work this season.

Well I too have been watching NE games this year and thinking "this isnt sustainable" but it has to do with how off Brady is. The kids are getting better but Tom isn't.

The defense seemed awesome, then Wilfork got hurt and now its less so. I havent seen anything "unsustainable" on that side of the ball by any means.

The special teams are great.

They are winning the close games, but thats nothing new. There are just more of them this year.

If this team has Gronk/Vereen/Amendola on the field in week 13 they will be right up there with Denver if not better. Of course that is a big *if* but again I don't see whats unsustainable about NE's performance to date.

except their is a big difference between a lot of those teams.

Sea/SF/GB are way closer to Den than they are to Chi/Indy/Dtown.

Amendola also just seems like a luxury at this point, guy is a magnet for getting effed up.

Gronk is CRITICAL and Vereen should be a massive benefit due to how well he catches the ball out of the backfield. Blount and Ridley are useless in passing situations which frees up LB's to pressure and/or cloud the middle.

NE also gets Den at home when these guys should be back for a few weeks together. I think people crowning Den the clear #1 seed in the AFC need to relax a little and get back to me Nov 25th.
