no but woat coasters are less likely to get up at 10 AM and they want to limit the total number because of the game of the week

Yeah I mean I don't think it would be a good idea to start airing Denver at San Diego at 10 AM PST but that doesn't preclude KC playing Indy at 3 PM instead of noon.

It might be different for places that are mainly drinking establishments, though, idk.
So the options are either have some staff on call on Sunday and make a bunch of money, or don't have staff on call and make less money. I appreciate not wanting to put your employees in a bad spot but plenty of people are on call for a variety of jobs. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal.

Meh, maybe it isn't that big of a deal. But he's either bad at math or he's crunched the numbers to the point that he feels he will be more profitable to not pay for Sunday Ticket anymore because that's the direction in which he's going.

Probably won't forgo watching their team play, but it might affect the second game of the day. If their team plays at 1 and a quality national matchup follows at 4, they might watch both games. If their team plays at 4 and a worse out of market game is on at 1, viewership for the second game might fall.

someone will prob pick him up after his suspension is over right?

suspension is over Sunday right? I assume there was no hurry to cut him while he was suspended and this is some kind of move that gives them salary cap relief they couldn't get otherwise, but I am not well versed on the NFL cap rules and how cutting a player who was suspended might affect those.

no idea about the cap situation i am just assuming someone would see him as a big upgrade since he was regarded as one of the best kickers itl

Wonder if/why trading was out of the question. Very weird.

can't imagine a kicker ever going for more than a conditional 7th... if you are shopping him it's pretty obv you are about to cut him, 0 leverage.

didn't prater break the record last year though?

and some teams are losing games due to their kicker atm

Well there goes the one dude who could seemingly tackle someone on his own without getting pushed back 5 yards.

looks like it opens up $3.25 MM in cap space next year with only $812,500 on $4,062,500 being dead. That's a lot of money for a team who should be contending for a SB. Considering McManus is already on the books for $510,000 (seems like none of it would be dead if they decided to cut him, but I see no reason they would opt for this instead) that is huge.

Leaves them an excess of $2.74 MM to use in free agency or for players who they may have had to cut.

I think it's more about some of you guys not being able to watch single games anymore because of RedZone. Every week in gameday threads I see multiple comments about how people can't watch single games anymore. And those aren't even blowouts.
I don't watch non-playoff/playin games live any more. 30 minute all snap version is soooo much better than the commercial fest. I can watch that and rewatch the entire game in coaches view (all-22) and only spend a third of the time.

Speaking of television that sucks, I really hate that Oprah channel Oxygen or whatever. Man how sucky is that? And yet there I am, forced to watch it all the time.

kickers are forgotten faster than ray rice

prater will never play another significant long snap in his career

Well the plus side is we can look forward to whichever team signs Prater going to the Super Bowl, the bad news is that it will be a blood bath

Kickeing is both the best and the worst job in terms of being on an nfl roster.

How is it possible that backup QB not hold this title?
