I'll never understand this obsession with ranking everything. Can't you guys just enjoy the games without obsessing about how 'good' everybody is?

seems pretty clear that they were much closer to winning the Cards game than losing the Skins game

Does that Redskins graph show what would have happened had the WR not dropped the 47yd TD by like 2 inches? That would have put them up 24-20. Doesn't matter what record the Lions should have. They're the third best team in their division, will need good fortune to have a playoff chance and are no threat in the playoffs.

think its not so much the hail mary as it is this:

R.Griffin pass deep middle to A.Robinson for 57 yards, TOUCHDOWN. The Replay Assistant challenged the pass completion ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) R.Griffin pass incomplete deep middle to A.Robinson (R.Mathis). Receiver did not maintain possession as he was rolling to the ground.

Lions are fine by me. Not easy to win anything surrounded by such cynicism. Should be celebrated just for showing up to work everyday imo.

No one's saying they're a top 5 team. What's delusional about thinking that 2-1 is a fair record for what they've done so far? They dominated Washington in YPP and they were in control of most of the game. They had better YPP than Arizona and led most of that game as well. That's all deezy and I have said. Anything else you're just strawmanning.

Lions are okay because Bush/Bell are a great tandem and Megatron is the GOAT. Stafford is still terrible though. Fauria seems >>>Pettigrew so they're always going to put points up. Stafford does suck though.

So much for the "Giants are going to play extra well for Tom today" (due to his brother's death).

Giants are the one team whose games I will never place a bet. Not because I'm a fan, but due to the fact that you never know who will show up. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to KC by 20, but would also register zero surprise with a 20-point victory.

Giants have looked like total dog ****, but they've played a pretty tough schedule. They actually didn't look that bad vs. Denver. Giants and KC both played Dallas close, only KC was home and Giants were on the road. Chiefs have looked good but one game was a joke vs. Jacksonville. It should be a high-scoring game and the Giants pass rush should have a better performance against Alex Smith who loves to take sacks.

Spoiler:

Having said that, Giants are a bottom-7 team and will likely get destroyed

giants are a paradox in that they routinely beat teams they shouldn't and get demolished by bottom-barrel teams. and i'm not even talking about recent years - it seems this has been going on since i was a little kid. i remember back in the early-mid 90s when giants would seemingly always lose to the phoenix cardinals all the time in big spots. i'm sure someone will quote some records to prove i'm wrong, but i've always felt this way about that team.

with that said, their team this year is really, really bad. i think the crappy QB and RB play has more to do with the OLine than the positions themselves (obv Eli is GOAT and wilson is super talented, despite his bitter fantasy owners' feelings). on defense they get zero pressure, their LBs are awful and their secondary isn't much better. i don't see them winning more than 5 wins in their schedule.

also, bears look really really good and seem to be underrated by the general public.

49ers opponents in games not vs 49ers this year:

Colts: 1-1 with a +0 PD vs Oakland/Miami
Seahawks: 2-0 with a +33 PD vs Carolina/Jacksonville
Packers: 1-1 with a +14 PD vs Washington/Cincy

ok? 4-2 with a +47 pd is a lot better than the lions laughable opponents. also miami, cincy and carolina are actually good teams.
