There is basically nothing interesting about this season.

But yeah, even if you just lol NFC east, they still have to play two tough road games against teams they lost to already this year.
MN and Seattle are both 8-5, so they functionally have a 1 game lead with 3 to go, I think technically there can still be a 3way tie at 9-7, 8-8 where I have no clue who wins tiebreakers but that seems super unlikely.

My bad, thought Sea was 1 game up.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit jealous that the CAMS are gonna go 16-0 without any real media scrutiny. Just like, they're taking care of business. Once the Pats hit 8-0 back in 2007, every game was a media event, and players even admitted after the Super Bowl loss that it became a drag on them. Spygate had a lot do with it, but the fascination with a perfect season was real. Carolina seems to be doing it without any attention or effort or concern.

They had this choice last year as well between the guaranteed straight shoot-out which was completely unreliant on other games (Falcons vs Panthers) and instead went with the Bengals vs Steelers, which while it was deciding a division title, both teams had already secured a spot in the playoffs.

Reality, is that somehow the Cowboys will have destiny in their own hands going into the last game, and play Washington Week 17, lose, and somehow it will be Romos fault, as is tradition.

Strength of victory comes before SOS.

If Seattle wins out and Arizona loses out, they tie ldo. Same division record, same conference record, same record against common opponents.

Next is SOV, so Seattle would need the non-common teams they beat to do well the next three weeks (and the teams Arizona beat to do poorly).

It looks like Dallas and New Orleans could be the key. Since Seattle beat Dallas, Dallas matters in SOV. Seattle lost to Carolina, so Carolina doesn't matter. Arizona has yet to play Philly, but since we're assuming a lose-out scenario, ignore that. Arizona beat New Orleans, so Seattle would want NO to lose to drive down Arizona's SOV.

Just quickly running the scenarios in ESPN's playoff machine, it looks like Seattle would need Dallas to go 2-1 and NO to lose out to earn the 3 seed and send Arizona to a WC. I believe Dallas 3-0 and NO 1-2 would also work.

Wildcard is feast or famine. Pitt & Seattle games great. The other two aids infested trash - made worse by the announcers inevitably trying to convince us the home team is playing for some reason other than playing in a dog*** division. So not watching those.

Lol, the media spends way more time on the Panthers than any other team right now.

What odds can I get on Pitt/Sea winning it all?

Even if this is true, I feel like the recent teams to go 13-0 (Pats, Colts, Packers) all got way more attention (starting at around the 8-0 mark) than Carolina is getting know.

I agree with this. Patriots & Broncos seem to be getting more media spotlight than Carolina even right now

It's because everyone thinks this is a fluke and they're not that good and cam is a slightly better version of kaep. Every week everyone thinks it will be a CLOSE GAME

Agree re: wild card games but 2nd round and conference championships should be awesome

Pretty high on the STILLERS

I feel like Philly is getting more attention too. You know, with all the talk about how CHIP destroyed the franchise and all.

Funny thing is, I was messing with the playoff machine last night, and although right now the Steelers are outside looking in at 8-5 (with the Jets and Chiefs), if all three win out, the Jets will be left out at 11-5.

After watching last nights game just wanna take a quick second to lol at the Texans and continuing to run a 3-4 with watt and clowney. Mix it up and let them both destroy lives.

Saints could still technically make the playoffs! The scenario starts with Minnesota losing out and New Orleans winning out. (It'll take some other things so that a wild card team aside from Seattle doesn't finish 9-7 or 8-8 with the tiebreaker.)
