this offseason has the most fascinating implications of any i can remember. 2 otherwise really good teams going to be getting top 5 or better picks in an extraordinarily deep draft. the rams potentially getting a top 5 pick. i mean if the jaguars somehow manage to go from mortal lock for 0-16 to out of the top 5 it'll be extrodinary

then there's cutlahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Texans and Atlanta should both win 10+ next year.

All 4 teams in NFC West could win 10 next year.

ATL needed to lose to TB earlier this yr to lock up the #1 overall. If we somehow still get it I think we should find a way to stockpile tons of picks in the 10-50 range by trading down multiple times.

The last place schedule only differs from the first place schedule by two games.

right, but it's still an advantage when the talent gap between first and last has closed considerably

edit: otoh i didn't consider they'd be the only west team playing the falcons

There's not a hell of a lot of room to win the West by a couple of games. I don't think the Rams are going 14-2 next year.

Yeah. Rams/Seahawks pretty lockish to win 10+.

I got 1. Seattle this week. DEN just makes too many errors.

Denver's performance in NE was about equal to that of NO's. maybe worse because they benefitted from high variance plays in the first half.

next monday nighter winner is my #1, right now it's seattle

tonight's game surely to be making all the seahawks homers pleased though, they can lay claim to the #1 ranking without much argument

If next week the cardinals and broncos played in foxboro in the 8:30p timeslot, what would the spread be?

inpredictable says
Spoiler:
Broncos -9, obv thats too high

No Knowshon or DRC?

ETA: Inpredictable about to bump the Cards 2 GFPs after today. Foxboro with crazy wind and cold isn't exactly a "neutral" site either.

You keep checking inpredictable the night after a game has happened, before the game result is being reflected. It looks from the newly-posted Cardinal-Eagle spread like the Cards may jump a solid 1.5 points this week. Denver probably holds relatively steady. So Denver -7.5 I guess? I think that seems reasonable.

I mean a three-point loss at Foxboro by Denver shouldn't cause any significant swing in a Seattle-Denver debate. I think it's largely a toss-up right now between the two. Seattle may be able to grab a clear edge if they can beat the Saints convincingly.

Philly offense will be certified elite if they can hang 35+ on the Cardinals.

5. Kansas City Chiefs (4, -1)
Handed their first loss of the season, Kansas City fell short on answering the primary questions about them. They’ll have another shot at the Broncos in Arrowhead soon, but a warm-up against San Diego is up next and they slide a spot here.

LKJ,

Broncos have played two legit good teams this year. Colts (when Wayne was playing) and the Pats. Both losses.

Seahawks have wins over the Panthers, 49ers, Cardinals. 3-1, the loss being @IND (again, with Wayne active).

You realize KC is better than IND right?

are you trying to conflate IND at this point with IND when they had wayne healthy? they are obv much worse w/o wayne playing.

if IND is an illegitimate team for the entire season, then SEA is 3-0 vs formidable teams, DEN 0-1.
