Could take the NE game off too since he's still a win or so away from that record.
yeah of course - I'm sure he is in general banged up. he's on record as not being able to feel his fingertips, he's at an age where you don't recover as quickly / he's been hit a ton, and this is the same time as last year when he went into decline probably bc his body can't just take the grind anymore. it just feels very convenient that he has this awful game and then the story leaks about how he is hurt now. a few people are saying "umm does this explain his horrible decision making?" but not many.
the most telling thing is Kubiak saying that he looked fine on Friday. ok, so then how the eff did he get hurt after that? and if he legit did get really hurt after that, that bodes really poorly and it's weird they're talking about him coming back next week.
my sense is they are just giving him a bye week to rest up and he'll play the Pats game, and then everyone will praise him for being a quick healer. if he is legit hurt, he's gonna be out longer than 1 week. so we'll see.
IMO (and others) they should bench him until the playoffs and just hope he can run hot and stay healthy for a few games. of course that's a weird thing to explain to your other QB and team, and then if he starts to play decent...hard to pull him
