A friend of mine lost half his finger on a basketball hoop.

Fingertips can grow back so long as part of the nail remains.

You sure? Fingernail can return, the tip I don’t think is returning like a lizard.

Appears to be the case occasionally with you kids....

It's not like it grows back in a manner of hours or even completely for that matter. It may not grow back at all. But it is possible.

Here's an example of it:

You guys watch the Romo "A Football Life?" Very good....always liked the guy.

There's a scene where Romo is brought into the office with Jerry Jones and Bill Parcells before the 4th pre-season game (before he's even taken a snap in a real NFL game), and he's being pressured to sign a bad contact...but he doesn't blink and calls their bluff.

Really cool.

Apparently Rodgers took quite a few shots at Mike after the game, hopefully he's gone soon

Rodgers wouldn't be where he is today without Mike.

Trapped making a below average team into an above average one?

Imagine how many Super Bowls Belichick could have won with Rodgers.

Agreed. Legit felt bad for him and think the frustration he showed was completely justified. That injury could easily cost him $30MM or something. Hard to blame any players for holding out.

Broken legs usually heal stronger than before unless they're shattered I think. He's not taking general wear and tear on his body for the rest of this season so he should be healthier going into next year than he would be if he played out the rest of this season. At least that's what I'd be saying if I were his agent. I think it's a true statement except that this is the same leg he broke two years ago so maybe it wasn't a clean break either time?

I'm sure teams will take a close look at his medical records and physicals but I don't think a broken leg is something to scare off prospective teams. A knee, hip, ankle, foot, or Achilles injury would be much more concerning to me.

It is the same bone he broke in 2016. It will be a big concern

Yup. Both hirings were horrible and a good lot of people called them such.

It's a shame too. The Giants have some great, young offensive skill players but one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL and a barely above replacement value starting QB who needs to retire.

If they don't draft a QB in the first round next year, they need to be fired immediately.

Why draft a replacement for your 37-year-old QB with the #2 overall pick when you could draft a running back? 3-13 team probably only a running back away from the Super Bowl, makes sense.

I do feel for you, there's nothing like a hire that just makes you feel like you gotta give up on your team for a while until they replace him. That's kinda how I felt in the Mike Ditka years.

I saw a week or two ago that supposedly Brady once told some other NFL coach "If Rodgers had Belichick and our infrastructure he would throw for 7,000 yards every year."

Wanna read about Josh Rosen's first start? I, too, thought he looked really good* despite the obvious growing pains and some missed connections.

I posted in the bad coaching thread but this was third and 11 in Buffalo territory and mccarthy for some reason called a draw that went nowhere. There are many possibilities on fourth down even if you don't get the first down on a completed pass instead that. If you look carefully you may like that post.

I'm amazed at how often players respond on twitter.
