mike glennon for 15MM/yr sounds like a bargain compared to babies.

can't the baby just watch football with you or go do some yard work or something?

The simple version of the Packers getting in is:

a) Packers win out - could happen with Rodgers, but obviously still very difficult, as the schedule is pretty tough.

b) Two of these things happen: Panthers lose one of their final two (Week 15 is against the Packers), Seahawks lose one of their final three, Falcons lose two of their final three.

That's basically the gist of it. Still a low chance of the Packers making the playoffs, but if Rodgers returns, it's within the realm of possibility.

I think they could technically still win the division if the Vikings lose out, but the Vikings aren't losing at home to the Bears and Bengals.

Josh McCown also out for the season, riverman called him a top 10 QB in the game thread so the curse is still active. Bryce Petty gets the start.

If all the favorites win this week, the Rams would be outside looking in team to miss the playoffs in the NFC.

given the panthers and falcons play you are relying on the bucs to beat one of them.

doesn't seem worth the risk, id keep him out sunday imo

This isn't right. Only 2 non-GB games are super important afaict:

GB wins out (CAR, MN, DET)
wk 15: LARams > SEA,
wk 17: ATL > CAR

If Carolina loses to both GB and ATL they are at 10-6 assuming they beat TB. GB beats them on H2H.

If Seattle loses week 15 to LARams, Seattle is maxed at 10 wins. GB beats them on H2H.

In this scenario CAR and SEA both miss and ATL and GB make.

Sashi Brown trolled so hard. This is why future picks don't have as much value to GM's as you think, decent chance your replacement gets them instead.
Yeah, lol at the Browns firing the guy who put together all those draft picks instead of the HC who leaks to the media to make himself look good and who hired a DC who puts his safety 25 yards off the ball every play.

Healthy Saints probably most complete team in the NFC now imo.

If seattle beats the rams, you're still in with a GB win out if EITHER rams or seahawks lose any game. GB also takes out the Saints in a tiebreaker. So even if ATL goes 10-6 losing to Car, TB or the Jets beating the Saints backdoors you in*.

Basically win out and very good chance you get in, lose a game nad you're probably done. Dallas is in a rougher spot where they need winning out and some help on top of it.

edit--*okay may not be true if it's the Jets. Playoff machine is screwing up a bit but gave them SOV over GB if it's the Jets.

well beating Car/Min/Det will gain a lot of points SOV so uh, start rooting for cleveland I guess lol.

Babies are not all that much work when they're still babies. You're totally ****ed in a few more years if being on "baby duty" is cutting into you're football watching time now.

Or maybe I'm just a terrible dad.

I just realized for the Lions playoff hopes--they'd prefer the Packers winning this week.

Bill Burr is great, it's a solid rant, but whatever you think of the city, the Eagles are not the city. If Pederson thought Kaep was a good option I think Lurie would be supportive. Lurie supported the players' right to protest throughout the owner meetings. Lurie was at the opposite end of Jerrah. Pederson has shown a willingness to accept criticism for his decisions. I've been on board for most of your Kaep gripes, but maybe they feel the guys who have been with them are in a better position to succeed.

Kaep also would have to learn a playbook he's never seen before. That's a nonzero consideration to the equation at this point in the season.

Lots of teams have different terms for the same thing but it's still hard to adjust quickly mindset wise.

Rodgers is really good at leading his team to Super Bowls.

Case Keenum probably has a better chance this year.

Besides Kaep sucking, people seem to totally ignore the fact of the distraction circus that would come to the team that signed him - not something a playoff team needs coming down the stretch.
