Wow, I forgot the Raiders got Swab.

This makes the game infinitely more watchable.

Raiders offense looks pretty bad. Defense might be able to keep them in some games.

So Schaub had 61 yards through 21 passes. Sounds right. God forbid you go for >3 ypa.

Jesus.

Who said he was an "all-time great"?

Who said he's going to be a prime TO?

Who said he needs to be a prime TO to be drafted 4th overall?

And you literally ignored my entire post about the cold weather not being as big a factor as casualfans make it out to be, as well as my point that not all elite WRs need a great QB.

All in all this was a really good post, though. Other than also getting his height wrong. Looks like you got one thing right which is his 40-time. Congrats. That's like the 8th most important thing about a WR. Also, in what world does a 34" vertical mean you "can't jump"?

Jesus never post again.

Mayock: "I have brothers that are opposite from me or whatever" when discussing how "dumb" it is to judge this Carr based on the other Carr

Those brothers are probably awesome to hang out with

Is Schaub really a worse passer than Tritch is a runner?

I don't think that quick out pass ever works in the NFL does it?

Wasn't one of those a 40 yard completion or was he out of the game by then? I missed it

Also did anyone hear Jimmy Graham got fined $30K by the NFL for dunking the football twice over the goal post?

And JFF got $12K for giving the middle finger. So a dunk over a goalpost is 25% worse than giving people the middle finger on TV.

GJGE Rog. Did they even fine Ray Rice for beating the **** out of his wife?

Goodell just needs to standardize and publicize these fine rates because by doing it based on whatever mood he's in he just ends up looking like a clueless ****.

You don't care about anything that involves actually playing the position. You sort by heights and 40 times. That's why it's hard to engage you or take you seriously.

Dunking is against the rules.

Not sure the finger is unsportsmanlike conduct given it's delivered at least 5 times a game.

Hoping Bears O vs Seahawks D happens in the playoffs and it sucks Bears D blows so hard or seattle fans would actually have a sweat even at home.

edit--also Shea McClellin ***** blows

Oh yeah looks like he stayed in longer. Long enough to throw a bomb and end up with a whopping 4.1 ypa through 27 attempts. They mentioned 21 for 61 yards on NFLN and I thought he was out of the game.

Can't wait to play him this year. Watt interceptions O/U: .5

I don't sort by 40 times but i do believe elite players normally fit a certain physical profile. I'm not super convinced Sammy fits that profile. If you're going to be a small #1 wr you better be elite at something. If Sammy is going to be an elite route runner that destroys DBs setting them up and putting double moves on them theres one huge problem. Theres two parts to that equation.

1. Sammy needs to be where he is supposed to be on time without the DB there.

2. The qb needs to deliver the ball on time and accuratly.

Do you see the problem?

With a wr like Gordon you just throw it up in a spot and he makes a play because he's an elite athlete who happens to bigger, stronger, faster than everybody else.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.7 40. Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce were 6'0". 5'11" Antonio Brown has an elite catch radius. You're focusing on measurements while ignoring what elements of gameplay those measurements are supposed to represent.

In-game acceleration and quickness matters much more for a receiver than straight-line 40 time. Similarly, size is only important insofar as it helps a player's catch radius, helps him win 50/50 balls, etc. Watkins demonstrates all of these abilities-- elite acceleration, elite ability to win contested balls, as well as elite hands and elite attention to the technical aspects of route-running and positioning. Elite everything except height.

Watkins made Tajh Boyd look like an accurate QB, for ****'s sake. The reason he apparently doesn't wow you is because he makes it look easy. (Sort of like how Derek Jeter's defense was overrated for so long because his poor range led to him having to make highlight plays to get balls other shortstops got to more easily.)

Few things I'm convinced of from watching preseason:

1. Oakland is the worst team in the league

2. Seattle is still the best

3. Jax will be good

4. Det will be good

5. Lolstealers
