If they made that orangeish/whatever color a deeper, blood red, I think they'd look fine. But with the NFL's rules regarding only having one helmet, they couldn't even have that. What the hell are they thinking??

It's pretty bad when the Raiders can make fun of you.

La'el Collins meeting with police today.

Reading up on his situation if he's cleared there will likely be a bidding war to sign him. The UDFA signing bonus money is limited ($88k total per team to spend roughly) and probably long gone by now and his salary set at the minimum with the contract at 3 years length, but teams can offer to guarantee any or even all of the salary in an effort to lure him to sign. As an UDFA he'll also be eligible to get extended after 2 years while all drafted rookies have to wait at least 3 years so signing with a team known for extending players before their contracts run out is probably an additional consideration.

If he is cleared and especially if the perp is caught and found to definitely have no connection to Collins I would have to think it will take a fully guaranteed contract offer ($1.575M over 3 years) to land him.

I really thought the Bills were going to draft him in the 7th.

After his agent said he'd refuse to sign if drafted after the 3rd round he became undraftable. If he was drafted then he could refuse to sign and re-enter the draft next year. Since he wasn't drafted he's stuck and is no longer eligible for any future draft and must sign as an UDFA.

Snead explained that Gurley had a high degree of success running the ball in the SEC. Snead said that, in recent years, tailbacks who have thrived in that conference have done well at the next level.

Well, we had Davis and Yeldon virtually tied, so we agree. One went a round too early and one went a round too late.

It's going to get more boring over time as teams do less stupid ****. Maybe next draft it'll pick up a little as it's supposed to be a pretty good draft (and it has a bunch of QB's). Still though 3 teams traded a future higher round pick in a good draft for a lower round in this crap one so they're still dumb (san diego obviously doesn't bother with analytics for one). Most of the trades, the team trading up gave up wayyyyy too much equity.

Hindsight lols will continue of course.

The obvious snead fail is richardson, the last guy to be that hyped.

Apparently Seattle's GM said he'd never draft a guy with domestic violence, so naturally first pick he has he snaps frank clark and pulled the standard NFL investigation into domestic violence where if you didn't see it, it didn't happen.

Was it just perception that ppl didn't take him in the third? Nobody wanted to be the team to draft a murderer? Like ya the third round has value but nothing close to 90% chance of a first rounder in the third or however it seemed. Like if you bust a third round pick it's a minor setback but it's not nearly like completely whiffing on a first.

I mean it just seems like there's a decent chance he's actually mixed up in this right or someone would have taken a flier on him.

If he was drafted he could sit and reenter the draft next year. Going undrafted prevents that for happening.

Sign of the times I think. Teams just worried about image and all that nowadays after all the off field headlines over the last few years.

Fwiw I agree with this. Davis has solid hands and can block too. Totally worth a third think the guy is a stud

Wouldn't have hated to see the panthers take OL wr and mike Davis in the 3rd/4th but they were busy not doing anything rational

Drafting a guy in the 3rd round and then it comes out two days later yes, he indeed murdered a pregnant lady would have been Panthers level embarrassing. Negative press would be off the charts.

Lawnmowers would have flown into orbit here if Dallas drafted him after taking on Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory.

If a team signs him, then releases him will he be an unrestricted FA? Could a team offer that or would it be considered cheating the system?

Assuming the guy isn't a nut job murderer, the Bills could rly use him. Seems like he "should" have gone in the first or second rounds.
