I'm not either. Then again if I don't want Dallas to give RBs massive deals, I guess I should be hoping the Eagles will. They've got tons of money so they're going to get someone that will help them either way. I'd much prefer they spend on a RB than a stud WR or pass rusher.

Besides I'm used to them running all over Dallas.

I think the opposite

i don't see why it would be high when torrey smith is getting 8 mil a year and maclin 11 mil

maybe he is worse than i thought at this point but seems like he was still pretty good last year. 7 for the next 3 years doesn't seem bad. at some point he will fall off bad but he now has future GOAT throwing to him i think he will do great

why would eagle fans be excited about getting Murray? they have no QB and a poor WR core. they've already spent $ on ryan mathews. they have a ton of holes on defense.

I'd be excited to get him at 6 mil per year.

Mathews + Sproles seem like an okay enough tandem to work with. And Mathews was priced right.

I don't think $6m/year is happening for Murray, that's what Dallas offered and basically everyone thought they were lowballing him. I've seen the story about how he's butthurt and might give a Philly discount but don't believe it.

And if it were true, then good for Philly, but truthfully it would be worth the laugh to see a halfback tilt away millions of dollars from what is likely to be his only big contract (and all for the joy of playing in Philly). SPRAY TAN

The D might not be great but they've added Maxwell, Thurmond and Kiko. It won't be nearly as bad as last year. Their secondary was the big issue and maxwell/Thurmond and even Boykin playing a bigger role could help a lot

This deal matter a lot of the contract if it happens tho

I still think believe ITT are still underestimating Chip's offensive scheme and overestimating how good Foles was.

Is Andre getting 3/21? 3 years is obviously excessive since it feels like he has like 1.3 seasons left or something. No idea if the 7 million is high or not. Probably. It's not a terrible spot to overpay a bit for them since they actually have some ring equity or at least deep playoff run equity. Having a solid vet like AJ fall into your lap is kind of nice if you are the Colts in their position.

Someone like the Jags signing him to the same contract would be stupid.

Still can't find anything about the guaranteed money in the AJ deal, but almost every deal like this is structured so that there's not much of a penalty for cutting them in that last year. I'd guess his deal is no different?

Gore's contract for example has 6.5M guaranteed, but that's actually roster bonuses each of the first two years. After that second year, he's a free cut.

Yeah it would be so much easier to talk about signings if NFL contracts were guaranteed. And funnier.

Bet you're having 2nd thoughts about this now...San Fran is depleted now & mainly because of two words, Jim Tomsula.

This is a good move...The "Hawk" is good for whopping fines & plenty of bench time. Tampa Bay simply is releasing an overpaid mediocre safety for an average paid mediocre Safety..We save 4 mil & can make up for a potential downgrade replacing Mason Foster w/ Bruce Carter...Lavonte David & Carter gonna work out very well. Major Wright & Conte tandem isn't such a bad idea either given their history & Conte grew up w/Alterraun Verner. Good fit.

Would be happy if the Iggles gave Murray a fat deal. For legit as he is still a running back that gets injured almost every year. Throw in the fumbling problems and offering any more than $6 mil a year is just spewing money.

As others have said, the Eagles have been running laps on the Cowboys run D for years. Be it Shady, or Sproles+Matthews+Murray. All things being equal, I'd also rather they overspend on Murray now that I've seen the rest of their moves. I think had things gone differently, I'd be much more worried about the prospect of them getting Murray in his prime.

I have a feeling you haven't watched Chris Conte at all. Him and the word average do not mix.
