LOL If Amendola isn't playing for the Veteran's Minimum, WTF are the Pats doing?

THIS SERIOUSLY MAKES NO SENSE

HOW DOES NEW ENGLAND NOT MATCH

WHAT
THE
****

THE BRONCOS COULD WIN THE SUPERBOWL WITH ME AT RB. THE DEFENSE COULD KNOW THEY WILL PASS ON EVERY PLAY AND IT WON'T MATTER. PEYTON + THOMAS/DECKER AND NOW WELKER IS JUST ******ED.

THAT OFFENSE SHOULDN'T BE LEGAL

Nice to see Welker go...shock that all he got was 2 years...ehhh

This has to be because of what happened last offseason and Bill keeping Welker out of the offense the first three weeks this season because of that

Nothing else makes sense

Texans had a lot of holes even before this. Their depth is terrible and they've been trotting out really mediocre starters at some positions.

They're up against the cap, too, so I don't know what the plan is here.

DEN radio is saying they have a confirmation that 2/12 is more than the Pats offered, they refused to match.

Now do NE fans boo Welker when he comes back to Foxboro? Should be interesting.

Man if it turned out the Pats matched 2/12 and we lost him for that I woulda been so mad that was our offer.

Impossible unless NE knows Welker has polio

I have to believe that they have some kind of plan this offseason and Welker wasnt apart of it. Not matching $6mil/year just isnt possible for someone they had in their plans. Hell they payed Ocho that much.

Amendola.

But, few million savings hardly seems worth it.

Then that shows how classless they are to their own players with longterm deals...For all he has done not to give him the pennies he got from DEN is a joke on NE part.

Also Brady to take a pay cut to help get Welker back and not get him is another slap in the face to Brady.

Im sure they will look at Amendola, maybe Jennings? and possible draft T. Austin/Goodwin as replacement.

I would understand NE not matching a 4-5 year deal but CMON 2 years?? Unreal...Glad he is out of AFC East but they did him dirty....why don't you just spit in his face on his way out the door NE? LOL

Gonna be tough to replace Welker.

Pats offense going to be really interesting next year. 3 TE base air attack with a healthy dose of Stevan Ridley.

If they'd have resigned Quinn, I think they could have patched together something serviceable in a few of the other weak spots. Just too much fill now. Need probably 2 safeties, 3 LBs, 1 RT, a legit #2 WR and a utility OL. Also a coach and a QB, but that wasn't getting fixed anyway, so I'm not losing sleep over it.

Texans "window" was basically the last 2 years. Andre going to spend his whole career being a badass for nothing, poor bastard.

I'm having visions of Reche Caldwell from the '06 AFC Championship. This is just like Brady restructuring after the 3rd Super Bowl to keep Deion Branch only to not keep him.

lol Christ, I wouldn't have hated the Saints going at Welker for 12/2 even though he's like the last thing the team needs relatively

Other than when he tore his ACL Welker has been really durable, especially for all the contact he takes. Welker at 2 years $12m is such a bargain i dont think there is any 2 year contract that Amendola could sign that i would prefer him.

Hes more durable, hes a better play, he knows the offense and he has great chemistry with Brady. Even if Amendola took the minimum, i think Welker at $6m per is better for the patriots. Espeically if its only a 2 year deal.

Its not classless or doing him dirty. I think they made a mistake here, but that's a stupid way to characterize the way the Pats do business.
