Trey Hendricksen confirmed to hit the market
Drew Dalman retiring at age 27 and with $12m guaranteed for this year seems surprising - 4th rd pick so he's had one big year of salary...$18m last year. Now....that's a ton and I'd be retiring if I got that much too, but it's rare that a guy at his age, coming off a Pro Bowl year, with a lot of short term AND great long term financial prospects retires

Guessing it's medical or sth? EDIT - went to Stanford and was an Academic All American, so perhaps super smart and had something big lined up.

my bro played vs Dalman’s dad in HS before he played for Stanford and the 49ers and i partied with his uncle in community college. the family doesn’t need the money

The irony is they only got McDuffie as an indirect result from not wanting to pay Tyreek and having the extra capital to trade up and get him.

Which would make them bringing back Tyreek even more hilarious.

they have ONE player contracted beyond 2027 who isn't a draft pick - Garrett Wilson. And $201m in cap space for 2027

When you think they have 2 1s and 2 2s this year (including the 2nd and 33rd picks) and then 3 1s next year and my guess is that their 2027 pick is very likely to be top 5, they really have an incredible situation for a GM if he's any good.

if they can successfully pull off the tank this year and get the #1 pick then it would be really great fun

It'll probably be the equivalent of Indiana hiring Cignetti who brings along a dozen 25yo's from JMU while Cuban turns on the transfer money firehose, except for the exact opposite because lol jest.

This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that he’s done nothing since getting the bag in Tennessee,

But I think the Chiefs’ defense was really hurt by the L’Jarius Snead departure. He was great for them, and played a pivotal role in their success.

The report I’m reading is that he’s guaranteed $47 m the next two seasons and then $15m of 2028

If that’s correct then it’s basically 3/71.5/62

Moore’s production dropped a ton last year but probably mainly from fewer targets so maybe he’s still got it. And he’s durable which is a thing

Cam Jordan gonna hit the market - maybe the Saints might take their cap seriously this year

He’s had a sneaky good career - doesn’t really get mentioned with the top pass rushers but 132 sacks is really something. Another really durable dude too

I’d guess he can make some good money on a 1 year deal. Hopefully a contender gets him

Moore did feel like a tool that was valuable in spots but generally underutilized in Chicago.

Seems still like a lot to pay; sizable cap hit, almost 29 years old, sent a 2nd rounder. But health is a skill. He could be a decent payout still for the duration of his deal.
