Yeah, guess we'll see how it goes. Now that the Bennett thing is resolved, extending Thomas during this offseason becomes the next biggest thing the Hawks could do. I'd like to keep Tate if the price is right, but the information on that front has been sparse.

No state income tax in WA and so much money in year one probably evened it out a bit.

Great deal for Seattle though. John Schneider is awesome.

The Whitner-to-Cleveland tweets have been coming in sporadically today too. I disbelieve all Cleveland-related transactions until they've been finalized for at least a month though.

Jets cut Cromartie and Santonio. Sanchez probably next.

+1

This saves the Niners like $5M in cap this season and $8M next season.

Vladimir Ducasse will probably be cut as well.

Jets are gonna piss away a lot of cash this offseason imo. Pretty sure they'll overpay Michael Vick to ride the bench.

Panthers trying to trade Steve Smith (even tho absolutely nobody will trade for a 35 year old with 7M for this year)

pretty sure it's mostly to troll the Bucs when Revis is stuck covering WR1 Greg Olsen

Why do you say that? Because of their past and spending on FA's when they had a different GM?

Even though he had only one off season, Idzik has shown promise that it's smart contracts that he will give out. Plus he came from Seattle, who has shown they know what they are doing, I'm sure he'll bring some of that specialty over.

Of course, you're probably wrong about this like you were wrong about 4.3 40s guys "rarely" making it out of the first round, just like you were wrong about so many other things in years past.

so the browns had a ton of cap space and the ability to sign mack and ward to reasonable deals. now they may have neither of them. i would love to know what exactly the browns are planning to use their cap space for if not to re-sign pro bowlers in their mid 20s.

Even though weed is still a banned substance according to the NFL, I bet some players who love to smoke would take a little bit less money to know they'll live in a place where you won't end up in handcuffs for smoking a blunt.

IOW, Bennett is likely a huge stoner

Source close to the situation would be "shocked" if Jared Allen doesn't end up with the Denver Broncos.

Soon enough for Sanchez. Cro I guess was gonna happen (though tbf I didn't think it was going to happen) but my god going from 3 years ago Revis & Cro to potentially Dee Milliner and Kyle Wilson as your opening day starting CBs...fugly!!!

Well, supposedly they have interest in Donte Whitner, so signing pro bowlers in their 30s?
