Rodgers first 41 games: 22-19
Brees first 41 games: 21-20
Peyton first 41 games: 22-19

Didn't look up their records vs 9+ win teams in that stretch but can't imagine it's all that inspiring

Yeah, the whole record thing is basically silly & QBs get way too much credit & blame for records regardless. I just thought it was a fun Tweet. Cousins is going to be 29 before the next season starts, though, so it's hard to pretend he's some young prospect with a lot of upside for improvement. He's 6 months younger than Matt Stafford.

Rodgers was 27 when he started his 41st game (obviously the closest comparable, but watching Rodgers play was never like watching Cousins play).
Brees was 25 when he started his 41st game.
Peyton was 24 when he started his 41st game.

& you're obviously excluding Rape/Brady/etc. from that sample.

Titans get pick 100, not 69 from the Rams now. Rams only needed to send the titans a 3rd.

I believe Rams also get pick 236 from Ten.

That chart is not updated with traded picks but god help anyone that tries to do it especially in rounds 6/7.

Philly gets 139 from the browns (giants # just ahead of them needs to get moved to the bottom of the list, whatever I don't want to waste time on this, I'm sure wikipedia has this done already)

Yah, I just copy & pasted from some website. Noticed after it didn't show Browns/Pats Collins trade & some other things. I expect better from the internet, my bad.

Saw Ravens have some interest in Marshall if he gets cut. Seems like a really good fit. Ravens need a #1 WR badly and have had good success bringing in veterans in the Newsome era (Mason, Boldin, Smith and even Wallace I think was OK this year given his previous few seasons)

Don't really see any other teams with decent QB's that would give Marshall the targets/role he would want.

He's only good for a year in the lockerroom so has to be a WR away type of team to even think about it. Seattle, New England. He always killed Seattle at least. Minnesota though they need OT's far worse. KC doesn't have the money.

Both Seattle and NE have plenty of pass catchers though. He could go to B'more and have a primary role. Carolina is the other 1 that makes sense. Maybe Philly?

I think Minnesota wants to re-sign Thielen and yeah they have other needs after that.

Maybe they keep Marshall. Didn't him and Cutler have a falling out in Chicago though?

I meant, are comp picks good for the nfl?

1. They should stay as they are
2. Remove them entirely
3. Rework the system

Remove comp picks obviously. Why teams get anything but scorn for letting good players go is beyond me.

Marshall has a falling out with everyone he's played more than a year with.

Yeah I can't imagine them keeping marshall and picking up cutler, that'd be incredible

Cutler does like Buffalo's OC tho from their denver days. It's pretty rare cutler actually likes a coach too. That's the best guess as to where he ends up for me.

So teams that don't overpay for their own FAs and don't overspend on other teams' get a reward. I don't see this as a bad thing for anyone involved. Want more comp. picks, be smarter.

It's bad for the players, as it must put downward pressure on FA salaries?

Is this really true tho? I mean the best Comp pick available is a 3rd, which is good but not good enough not spending for a legit player in FA

Da Bears doing some Browns level tanking?

2015 Bears star offensive skill position players-
QB: Jay Cutler
RB: Matt Forte
WR: Brandon Marshall/Alshon Jeffery
TE: Martellus Bennett

2017 Bears star offensive skill position players
QB: ???
RB: Jordan Howard
WR: ???
TE: ???

Like every Bears offensive star skill position player has left/is leaving the organization. This is some 49ers-level meltdown stuff

Franchise tag reports coming in hot and heavy. Nothing too surprising. Short, Berry, Jones...

Only nugget that surprised me today is that Kenny Stills is looking at 12M a year. Think about that next time you argue that the Skins would be better off pocketing the 18-20M a year in savings by letting Cousins go. Savings would just end up going to contracts like that.
