I also like the Centers pick, considered him briefly earlier this round but ultimately decided I already have enough of his skill set from Tiki and if I pick a full back would be looking more for a blocker. Hell of a pass catcher for that position though.

In retrospect, I think I could have gotten Holmes in round 4 and would have started off my team with a trio of Bruce Smith, Junior Seau, and Ed Reed. Oh well, I still Eric Turner.
Wow, yea that trio would've been a sick sick start to your D.

I think Centers will be incredibly valuable for me in my west coastish offense.

Taking him now due to his one of a kind-ness.
good pick imo. Like with Lorenzo Neal, I think people are a bit scared to go out on a limb, but this is the type of pick that you'll have 4 or 5 people saying "damn, was hoping I'd get him." Such a unique skillset.

Centers also works as 3rd down back probably so you don't need a backup imo.

Assani, what about that game against Miami where Brady threw that horrific pick six to lose the game? What about when they lost 31-0 to Buffalo and Brady threw 4 picks, one for a td? I'm sure I can find similar things for Manning, stop the hyperbole.

Thanks a lot for the link, if anyone else wants to PM some stuff they had on him to me for my writeup tomorrow feel free. I'm sure there is plenty of stuff on the interwebs for him though.

I've watched a ton of Brady's games. Never once did I think "Brady was the biggest reason they lost today." Yea maybe he threw a bunch of INTs....but maybe one of their linemen was playing bad and he was constantly under pressure and thats what made the INTs.

Its not something you can measure with stats.

But with Favre, Ive watched games where he just makes a ton of absolutely boneheaded throws that are clearly his fault and not a missed block by an o-lineman or a wrong route by a WR.

Just my opinion.

Round 16 Pick 498

Haywood ‘Darkness’ Jeffires WR

I waited really long to take a WR b/c the incredible depth the position had but that depth is quickly dwindling. With Jeffires I am getting a 3time probowler and 1time 1st team All-Pro with the 498th pick. There is no doubt in my mind that Jeffires is better than quite a few WR taken in front of him which makes him great value.

Later in his career his teammates referred to him as "Freakwood” due to insane athleticism. Though his last name is spelled Jeffires, it is pronounced Jeffries. A fact that game commentators often noted during broadcasts of games in which Jeffires was playing. 1991 Nintendo Entertainment System console game, Tecmo Super Bowl, incorrectly listed Jeffires' name as "Jeffries". In his 2nd year, he established himself as an excellent possession receiver who excelled at going over the middle and out-fighting defenders for the ball when necessary. Jeffires led the league with 100 pass receptions in 1991 and he had 90 in 1992.

Even though he was thought of as a possession receiver he still had above average speed as demonstrated here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozxtacDWB0o

I will be taking him from his 1991 year where he was a

excellent pick, actually. we've had dvoa/dyar on him ready for a while. his only major knock was that he was never a #1 WR.

Yeah, I planned on addressing that. It was interesting that Jeff brought it up to me as he was the player I was targeting with my pick for a long while(since I took Woodall). I didn't expect it to get to me today so I'm a touch upset I didn't have a writeup ready for when it was my pick, as I think it will hurt his value as he will be forgotten on my very unsexy team, but I'll try to get one up within the hour before I start studying for finals.

BTW, thank you for the love.

I coudlnt actually find who the owner of brian westbrook is.

I want to offer Marcus Allen for westbrook straight up.

Centers is an excellent pick in a WCO imo. Having him catching out of the backfield gives you so much automatic flexibility and creates the possibility of match up problems.

Keenan was going to be my next pick if he lasted. So

I'm pretty sure it was 4.5 and I'm at 4. I am definitely going over, lol.

But in reality I don't think I got bad value on any of them. Stroud was the most questionable value wise but in round 7 and pick #198 I think its hard to argue that it was bad value. Searcy was good IMO, especially with the run of RTs and I had him ranked higher than a couple of RTs taken at the time(and I try to be as unbiased as possible when I look at them). By no means do I think McCardell is a reach.

OK guys,

Lorenzo Neal is on the trading block. As I feel he's the best FB available I expect a 1st rounder in return for him, and will accept nothing less. Start making offers.

Assani, since you wanted him, Neal for Jerry Rice straight up?
