If he picked before you were actually skipped you can still have him

I know, but that would just hold this thing up more and probably create even more problems. I have to think about whether or not that's worth it. Especially now that if I take him it's kind of an angle-shoot because I'm doing it knowing I have to now if I want him.

Anyway, while I make up my mind about whether or not to grab Sheppard, my other pick is going to be DE Robaire Smith. PFF grades him really highly against the run, and he had 54 tackles this year which is pretty ridiculous for a 3-4 DE. He ruptured his Achilles early last year, so there isn't much info on him, but for 2007 FO had him with an 85% stop rate vs. the run which ranked 5th. Counting on him and Pat Williams to be my two-down run-stuffers. He's 32, but large guys who take up space tend to age well, and as noted above, all the metrics I find seem to indicate that he's a very good run-stopper.

In conclusion, Cleveland sucks.

I'm up as soon as the guy in front of me makes his picks or is skipped. In this case, that was bowens at 4:46 PM EDT. (I had until 6:46 to pick.)

I really don't care it's mkinds pick and he told me to pick at a time. Whoops if he wants to trade a pick for the mistake that's fine.

Team DoBdle77 selects:

Keyaron Fox - ILB
Pittsburgh Steelers

Ike Taylor - CB
Pittsburgh Steelers

Yeah, couple of Steeler homer picks, but there's no way Ike Taylor should be here at this point. (Which means he probably isn't)

Well, that means he's there. I know he didn't have the best (or really even a good) season last year, but no question the ability is there. Great value at this point, imo.

RB/KR Leon Washington

Remember when I said back when Reggie Bush was picked that there were better Reggie Bush's than Reggie Bush? Leon was the 1st name that came to mind.

An electric runner who can do everything. He can run outside, inside, and catch the ball. The perfect fit for 3rd down situations and as a change of pace back. Averaged 4.8 YPC over his career, incl. 5.5 YPC in 07 and 08. He's also a Pro Bowl KR, who adds an element of danger to my special teams. Had it not been for a freak injury in 2009, I could not possibly imagine him dropping this far.

CB Ellis Hobbs

(Looks like Steve Smith doesn't have to worry about getting a pass picked in the Superbowl again)

Decent cover corner, with some playmaking abilities. Another guy who likely dropped due to an injury last season. Fits in well as a nickelback with starting experience to pick and choose matchups with Dwight Lowery. Also has good results as a KR, averaging 27.2 per runback and 3 TD's, in case Leon gets injured again. Also owns the record for longest KR in NFL history.

Admittedly, when I sent capone0 my board for CB's, Hobbs was actually not on it after Lito. It wasn't until later in the day (after I left) that I remembered him. Besides, I have enough Jets to give Lito to someone else.

QB Alex Smith
RB Jonathan Stewart
RB/KR Leon Washington
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Steve Smith (NYG)
TE Brent Celek
LT Ryan Clady
LG Nate Livings
C Scott Mruczkowski
RT Adam Snyder

DE Issac Sopoaga
NT Kelly Gregg
DE Marques Douglas
OLB Calvin Pace
ILB David Harris
ILB Larry Foote
OLB Derrick Burgess
CB Cortland Finnegan
CB Dwight Lowery
CB Ellis Hobbs
FS Brodney Pool
SS Brandon Meriweather

Now that I'm home, I went back and looked since this didn't sound right to me. Bowens went on the clock at 1:15 (click the arrow next to me to me linked to it).

This means he was skipped at 3:15 and that post you linked was made 90 mins after he was skipped. This means you were skipped at 5:15 and capone0's pick for me was valid.

Having said that, I'm not looking to cause a big stink here. How about this: you can keep Lito but next round you have to swap your 2nd pick with my 2nd pick? This would mean instead of it being nath, nath, mkind, mkind, it would be nath, mkind x2, nath. Sound fair?

So, since we're causing a big stink about the drafting times atm...who's on the clock right now?
