hmm, I wasn't aware Ahtyba Rubin was so good. Didn't even know there was a NT of his caliber still around.

Nicks needs to work on "catching" the ball.

The other TE I had at the top of my board if Clark went wasn't one of the two who just came off, oddly enough.

I think you probably could have waited on Orton, but WTF do I know?

Ochocinco was at the top of my WR board, I think.

Nicks seem like a clone of Boldin to me

OK, I'm up. I had one guy targeted with this pick. Then I decided like 5 picks ago to go in a completely different direction and hope he drops to me next round.

With the 8th ROUND PICK - # 239 OVERALL -- TEAM ZIMMER4141 SELECTS

RG - DAVIN JOSEPH

Here's a guy who was a pro-bowl guard in 2008. He was an absolute beast of a run-blocker, then went into a zone scheme in 2009. He was forced to drop a significant amount of weight in the offseason between 08 and 09 and that limited his effectiveness. In my scheme, Davin will be allowed to be the beast that he is meant to be. We will imploy a man-blocking scheme that will bring out the best in all of our linemen. Hutchinson will be able to pull in most of our run plays, which was his strength, Mangold will be 1 vs. 1 in almost all of his assignments, which I have no doubt he will dominate, Joseph will be in a man-scheme where he was a beast and "one of the best guards in the NFL" in "08, and Kareem Mackenzie will be 1 on 1 with almost everybody he's assigned against, which I'm sure is a battle he can win.

he was beastly all year. dpoy candidate until he went down. bengals d was noticeably worse after he went down. dunno why he wasnt as dominant in years past and dunno if he can recover from a torn achilles but i like his upside.

He played 6 games this year. Will be 29 this next season at DE. He has had 16 sacks in all previous seasons (5) and 1 season 8 sacks in the only one he regularly played in for the Titans and only had 16 tackles the whole season starting for the team (not great against the run).

Team Yardage Given Up Per Game with Odom was 351 vs 278 without (304 for the year) including the playoff game.

They gave up 19.7 points per game defensively with him and 17.9 without him. I guess their schedule was easier after the first weeks but the team wasn't noticable worse without him defensively.

i mean yea the pairing isn't ideal but orton is the clear best qb avaliable, there is another guy whos close but is a good amount older.

also while orton doesnt throw deep i see no reason why he cant go deep a few times a game, it's not like he can't throw 40 yards.

Also nice to be international and he knows Brady for whatever thats worth.

QB Tom Brady
LT/RT Sebastian Vollmer
He was also a pretty good swimmer so he's gotta be athletic. We never met on the field since he played DE on his youth team and I played CB on ours but technically I did play against him.

From reading this draft so far, it seems like the Ravens are the franchise of the future?
Possibly the best dynasty QB+RB combination, aparently a bunch of amazing young O linemen and a sick/young NT

lol, dpoy candidate based on destroying the awful GB O-line for 5 sacks. He had 3 sacks in the other 5 games. Also only 3 sacks in 12 games last year. Basically looks to me like GB was a huuuuge outlier, and I'm sure that playing in front of hall/joseph makes you look pretty good too since its easy getting pressure when theres nowhere to go w/ the ball.

Ravens have drafted well and think they have been slightly overrated in this draft. While they do have a lot of young pieces, their HOF level players have either retired (Ogden) or will retire in the coming years. They are still in a very tough division with 2 other good teams and an epically good franchise in the Steelers. AFC isn't going to be easy with the Colts, Pats, Jets growing. I think the Jets are also one of the teams of the future in this. Obviously a lot rests on Sanchize's growth. Texas also has a bunch of young studs on O and D and a QB. Their OL and DBs are their biggest issues.

What are the teams with the least # of draft picks?

I know the Raiders have atleast 3 players (Gallery, Aso, Morrison). The Bills have a couple.

Round 8 Pick 240

QB Josh Freeman

Yes, his stats were bad this year. But he's a 22 year old playing for the Bucs, what do you expect? He has by far the most upside of any QB available and he's the only QB left that I would consider leaving as my starter for the long term.

Page 2!!!!

Freeman is also the 4th Buc drafted iirc. Still trying to figure out which team has the fewest draftees. As far as I can tell, the Bucs, Chiefs, and Rams all have 4, can't think of anyone with less.

Edit: By my count, the Seahawks have 3 (Mebane, Curry, Trufant). I'd also venture to guess they're the only team without an offensive player taken.

2nd edit: Forgot about Tatupu, so that's 4, but still no offensive players.

3rd Edit: The Lions have 3 (Stafford, Delmas, Megatron). So that appears to be the answer.
