So, I was looking back at the heat dkgo drew to see if I could lock up my Larry wolf read. I was looking to see how "out of nowhere" Larry's shot was, and if it'd be consistent with a minimally involved villager or if it looks more like a wolf looking for an excuse to off a peeked villager.

dkgo had been drawing a decent amount of heat from Sando and a couple others d1, but that completely evaporated once Eltbus came in and dropped what we believe to be his recruitment peek. That could certainly read like the wolves getting the message on that post, even if the village didn't until I killed Eltbus (yes, I know that looks bad for me). What I was looking for d2 was something like a villager tossing out a speculative list of wolves that included dkgo and then Larry using that as justification to shoot. Unfortunately, we had dkgo getting pushed pretty hard by both fanmail and insanity during the ITA session, albeit they were both pushing domer harder. I'd say this is still a bad look for Larry, as he could well be picking the best villager to shoot out of some lists of shots rather than the consensus wolfiest pick, but it's not as conclusive as I was hoping. Still, asking no questions of the people doing the pushing prior to firing looks pretty bad to me.

I haven't really read whatevs, but other than aborting my shot after you aborted your alleged peek, what's your case for a shot on him instead of Larry?

you don't really need to be making cases on Larry, we're going to kill Larry, it basically can't be avoided at this point

i doubt they both are or the wolves likely would have conceded by now
but it's very possible that neither are, and then lol

so i dunno if talking Larry is a great use of time and energy

When re-reading through the thread, I simply just gave players plus or down, and not very detailed. So what I write now, might not be completely correct as to why people were placed where they were.

Booker: As far I remember he at some points had some activity, but did nothing to solve the game. It looked to me more to get a post count up, than actually helping out.

Watevs: I had a feeling that he actually did try to solve the puzzle, and I agreed with some things he wrote, which made me give him villa leans. I was most likely wrong, as things turned out.

Before the mystery mash started, I had read through the strategy post, which has links to a lot of stuff. There someone had written about ignoring dead villa players. I wanted to try this out. In the mystery, I had absolutely no clue of what was going on, and I didn't have the time to make this strategy. In this game I had a bit more clue, and had the time to do so. So I decided to do so, and I do believe it will give me a clearer picture for as long as I may live.

I agree that having your own reads is good, mostly also to learn to read players for the future. And anyone who comes after a person, because their list in their oppinion looks bad, is either a wolf, or plain stupid. The most likely outcome, is that people would not like to do the effort to make such a list again. And looking at it, it does not seem completely rand, though there are spots where people might disagree. No list is perfect, and mine certainly aren't.


One thing I don't understand though, tchaz: Why did you choose to pick to peek me? A bad to mediocre player, where clearing others could be so much more pro-villa?
