it sounds like you're saying we only get the number of players that we actually draft. I was under the impression that the rest of our roster got filled with nameless 'replacement level' guys
What? There are a ton of practice squad type players on the list. It's up to you to manage your budget and sign the minimum number of players to carry you through a game.
If people can just spend their $250k on 22 players and lose nothing at the end assessment I quit. I mean, that would be ****ing stupid and completely against what was discussed before we got going.
Unless there is a provision for adding guys who weren't purchased on to the end, then no. Maybe we can assume you fill the extra roster spots with people who didn't make the list, so sub-replacement level guys. The idea is to build a full team though. A number of people were saying we should all be buying 53 players. ~45 is more reasonable though since those last 8 are practice squad anyway.
Yeah I was saying 53 at the start, but if we're only dressing 45 on gameday that of course makes more sense.
But hey, if someone drafts a full 53 they'll get points from me.

Meh, I like Peters. I wish I'd bid 4k less on him, obviously, but I think I get a top-5 LT that's pretty young here. I think prices on solid LTs under 30 is going to go up. Jason Smith clearly best pick of draft so far imo.
i'm ranking the teams based on who has the best long snapers
I think Victor is going to end up like the Carolina Panthers.
Franchising Peppers cost about $18 million total in cap space. The Panthers re-signed tackle Jordan Gross to a long-term deal. With those moves, they tied up their cap to a point where they could not do anything else. They did not sign any free agents. They had to let veteran cornerback Ken Lucas go. They could not even re-sign veteran snapper Jason Kyle, even though the savings for letting him go was only $600,000
The NFL modern era draft was ranked pretty exhaustively by a few people. The NBA Auction had a number of interesting ranking methods at the end (people split things up into conferences and predicted how a season would play out).
I don't see how Peters is LOL, esp relative to Gross bid. He's 27 and capable at pro bowl level. Worth more than Gross imo. Gallery for 13k is pretty bad imo. Also wayyy too much on Beason. That's basically Romo type money.
Heh but 31 vs 29 is missing out on 2 prime seasons. It's enough of a difference to make a difference. I thought Gross was 32 fwiw when I made the statement.
