So Wentz is out and immediately the Commanders beat the Packers. Interesting, very interesting

Seven teams in each conference make the NFL playoffs.
The NFL playoffs are almost as laughable as the NHL and NBA playoffs.
Right now, no way in hell are there seven playoff worthy teams in each conference.
Half of the teams below suck!

AFC: Seven of these eight teams are making the playoffs.
Bills
Chiefs
Jets
Titans
Ravens
Chargers
Bengals
Dolphins

NFC: Seven of these eight teams are making the playoffs.
Eagles
Giants
Vikings
Cowboys
Rams
Bucs
49ers
Packers

The NFL doesn't care if half the teams suck. The networks don't care if half of the teams suck. All they care about is when a game gets televised/streamed, it wins the ratings war no matter what else it's up against so the networks can rape advertisers and can afford to pay the NFL billions of dollars. Simple as that. More games = more money.

Beyond the Big 3, every team has holes and suspect to lose any game at any time it seems. Maybe I just have some recency-bias in my memory or something, but I can't really recall having things seem as wide open as it does this year.

Maybe it's 'early' in the season, and I shouldn't over-react, but this is the most suk i think i've ever seen. Maybe it's like this every year, and i'm just getting old and cranky.

The defenses have been above average this year imo, and the QB's have been well below average.

or maybe Defence is just better than Offense this season for a change?

can't wait for the next round of NFL legislation to help the Offenses get going again

The packers are not good at the game football. They won’t make the playoffs unless they trade/sign 2 NFL caliber WRs.

Agreed that they're bad right now, but they'd still clobber Wentz

That undefinable quality that WINNERS have.

It wouldn't hurt them to add a qb who wants to win games.

The only QBs who GB could start that would have 1 win or more 7 games into this season like Godgers has are:

Jawsh
Lamar
Hurts

That is it. That is the whole list. None of these guys are as good passing the ball as Godgers, but all 3 would be able to sneak 1 (maybe 2) wins out of these first 7 wins using primarily their legs, but to do so they would have to treat every game like it was a playoff game and can't even think about the dangers of taking extra hits.

Jawsh is throwing to 4 (or 5) guys (BUF's top 3 WR + Knox + maybe shakir) who are all better than GBs #1 pass catcher. Godgers and Jawsh have the same completion % yet Jawsh has insanely better weapons. Jawsh would have to heavily use his legs and risk injury to get this GB team to 2 wins up to this point in the season.

If Godgers gets a starting caliber WR before the trade deadline I think he has as good of a chance as Jawsh to win MVP. I know Jawsh is less than 2-1 to win MVP this year, but that seems like insanely bad value - there are so many other guys who are throwing up similar stats to Jawsh/Godgers right now and any one of them could run hot the 2nd half of the year.

no one pays any attention to these routine spots which add up to a much bigger win % differential over the course of the game

Matt Ryan benched for something called Sam Ehlinger.

Colts' fans, who are football fans and therefore morons, love this because Ehlinger is more mobile, forgetting that the better option is to not have an OLine so awful that it requires a mobile QB in the first place.

Hopefully the young man has his life insurance beneficiaries filled out appropriately.
