Denver's D allowed 24.4 Pts/G last year... they are nothing amazing.

I'm not doggin him, I'd just take Revis for the next 2 (maybe 3) seasons. And I don't think health will be a big issue with Miller.

meh, Bflo had 23 heading into the 4th, then Tebow tossed a few picks. 2 returned for TDs. McKelvin also returned a punt for a TD in that game.

lol three of those TDs were defense or special teams. and that game was after Von Miller got hurt. 19 points allowed! sick terrible defense!

Even with my thoughts on Denver i wouldnt be suprised if they won the AFC. I know how good Peyton and some of their other pieces are. I just dont believe they have an elite D or an above average run game. Granted Peyton doesnt really need either from them to win the AFC.

Like you said they have potentially the hardest schedule in history. Starting the season off vs Steelers, Falcons, Texans, Raiders, Patriots,Chargers and Saints. Even playing at their best they could easily lose 6 of those.

pretty sure the correct way to interpret that information is that the afc west is bad, not that the broncos are the 3rd best team in the afc.

Totally irrelevant.

No one ever said they were 3rd best team in the AFC. The contention was they weren't a QB away from a SB.. they probably aren't.. but are now the third most likely team to do so according to Pinny (even if its an absolutely awful price they're still top 5 unquestionably with SB prices).

The division is part of that. No one would contend otherwise.

Maybe 4 or 5 with a huge drop off after #3.

Vegas odds aren't set solely because of actual odds and are probably even more likely set in accordance with pubic perception and betting trends.

I'm assuming the top three he talks about is Pats-Texans-Ravens, in some order

That suggests a much bigger dropoff from Ravens to Steelers than reality would

someone please normalize den's ppg based on possessions and get back to me before I take everyone's boxscore reading to heart?

and prawneys awesome analysis that stops short of saying but actually means well we crushed their defense in the playoffs so no way are they any good!

Pats, Ravens, and Steelers are perennial winners. Texans were on their way. Maybe I am not giving the Bronco's with Manning their due credit. Time will tell.

Denver won 8 games last year and Manning is worth 10 wins a season, the Broncos should be a lock to at least make the Super Bowl.

Yeah that was a bad example upon further review. There's a lot more evidence tho.

I just dont see shutting down Caleb Hanie, Kyle Orton, Mark Sanchez, a combo of Matt Cassell and Tyler Palko, and Matt Moore as some sign of a good D. Those were the QB's who they allowed less than 20 pts to.

Im not writing of Denvers chances or anything just dont believe what they do this year will be a factor of their D being elite. Obviously it is possible for their D to be really good but from what i seen last year its just an average D that benefitted from playing bad Offenses.

Edit: They did hold San Diego to 13 which was a pretty good achievement.

Eight wins AFAIK. Still a 16-0 season tho.

ochocinco sent out a tweet to goodell, basically saying he should be expecting chad to get fined this season.

mike & mike (actually golic) said they didn't like the tweet. so chad sends out a "**** mike and mike, tell them about this tweet." tweet.

golic hears about it and (paraphrasing) calls him a goofball for hitting send and says "become relavent on the field again, before you start yapping off."

then m&m ruined the whole moment by throwing out the old espn gauntlet "come on our show, and talk about what you disagree with." aka "spike our ratings." (if ocho still does that)
