NFL 2010 Draft Talk And Speculation NFL 2010 Draft Talk And Speculation

Nah, that's still too much imo. I don't really understand why they'd want the #1 pick anyway.

Given the beating he's taken over the last few years and the way it looks like he's drinking himself out of the league, I'd be all for any trade that nets us a couple solid building blocks for a team that will be competitive 3 years out. But I don't think they could get enough value right now but the Rooneys would probably take a good enough offer.
this made me laugh

Need a Rapelberger/Tyson pic.

Get a QB with a lower RORR.

Lol, I fistpump call #1 pick for ROFLburger as the Rams. The Steelers would be braindead to make this move.

Asomugha + Raiders #8 for Ben and Pitts #18...possibly also swap positions in 2nd round.

Raiders get the added bonus of being able to cut Russell in an uncapped year

wait that happened or you just saying that's what should happen?

Come on now. Ben really is a massive risk to:

1. Get too many concussions
2. Get too fat
3. Rape
4. Get in another motorcycle accident
5. Otherwise be an idiot and get another, longer, suspension

Its not like hes a sure thing, plus hes not that good to begin with.

in before RAPEZZZ which will be after RANGZZZZ.
04-16-2010 , 12:12 AM
If you're the Rams GM, and you know that if you trade for Rapistberger, you'll get a RANNNNNNNNNG in the next two seasons, and that afterwards, Rapistberger will rape again to go with that RANNNNNG, do you pull the trigger?

Ben has raped
Ben is raping
Ben will rape again

Anyway, all of these trade up to #1 talks are so standard of drafts. They hold no merit and are only done to generate things to talk about when there is nothing to talk about.

So, a question:

Every year has a surprise 1st round pick. Last year was Darrius Heyward-Bey and Larry English. The year before was Jerod Mayo. What about this year? What will be the shocking pick this year?

What # pick do the Raiders have?

Mayhew channels his inner Millen and takes Dez Bryant @ 2.

Yep.

Also, I get annoyed when someone reports "Team X is hoping to move down in the first round." I'm thinking "yeah no ****, EVERY team wants to move down".

Well, Cherpinski's pick of Pauncey at #11 would certainly qualify, and it has solid combination of shock and plausibility.

Ben Tate might qualify. To the Chargers, esp. if Matthews is off the board. Even seeing him go in the 2nd might qualify as a shocker, depending on who you've been reading.

Earl Thomas? I could see him at #14 if the Seahawks take T. Williams, which is way higher than most people have him.

Damian Williams? Actually, there's another candidate at #14 that would shock that is pretty conceivable. If a team values running routes over running in a straight line, he could go well ahead of his late 1st/early 2nd ADP.

Weatherspoon is also a candidate to vastly exceed his ADP.

Dez Bryant to Tampa Bay

I got one more:

Trent Williams or maybe Anthony Davis to Washington when Okung is still available.

cody in the top 20

Ben is 28 and a top 10 QB, you can't just trade him. He's worth at least two 1st round picks and some players.
04-16-2010 , 02:23 AM
wtf at people saying ben isn't worth #1. if i'm the rams gm billy devaney and rooney calls me and offers ben for my #1, i gladly accept. i get a sure commodity, whose current level of play is really close to Bradford's ceiling, for 6 years at a cheap price for top 5 qb with 2 rings. in contrast, i'd have had to pay bradford like 2/3 as much money and he wouldn't be good for a while, though the rams probably won't be good for a while too.

Whoa, this Gruden special is much better than I imagined.

it seems really good in large part because of how badly ESPN usually sucks
04-16-2010 , 03:18 AM
I generally dislike all the qb's on the qb came, esp Colt, but didnt it seem like Gruden just ripped him a new one compared to the others? He drolled over Tebow and then just bashed McCoy. Pretty funny stuff.
04-16-2010 , 03:21 AM
Gruden is the man, and not just because he has snowglobe stuffed down the front of his pants everytime I see him for MNF.
