Warner & Strahan /= Favre. Also, they didn't have teams trying to push them out.

Dunno if anyone listens to Scotty Farell on Howard 101 (Sirius) but it's pretty awesome for him to tell Saints players live on the phone that they got lucky and shouldn't have won that game.

Just ran into kyle turley's "band" in baton rouge. He was like my size which is not impressive. Not a surprise he's not on the saints sb team...

My God - the Saints ran so white hot in the overtime it's sick.

In "Official Review" on NFLN and NFL.com - Mike Pereira talked about the Meachem catch and then the spot on Thomas' leap on 4th and short. He said that both plays were so close that no matter what they were called on the field, it would have been correct to uphold those rulings. And, of course, both plays were ruled in N.O.'s favor on the field.

The NFL also commented via email that the Leber PI penalty was correct from the standpoint that it's PI if feet tangle and the defender has his back to the ball. However, they said it's still a judgement call as to whether it was catchable, and, again, they're comfortable with whatever judgement the ref made - which, of course, went in N.O.'s favor.

What's funny about the reviews, in particular, was that Pereira said that they REALLY made it a point to their officials this year to not overturn a call unless there's 150% proof on video that the call on the field was wrong. So, of course they live up to that on the overtime calls - but I remember seeing several calls during the regular season (the Washington fumble in OT, for instance) in which it was absolutely not 150% conclusive, but they overturned it in N.O.'s favor.

I know that I'm a bitter Vikings fan - but the Saints ran hotter than Gold, Yang & Cada combined just to win this game by 3 in overtime in their own building.

They missed OPI on Rice when Greer had a clear INT so that makes up for it.

Clear INT ATTEMPT, you mean. If cornerbacks could catch, they'd be WR's.

Anyways, chances are that drive ended in a turnover the way it went, which if it did would mute that pretty well.

NFL Review is on Wednesday nights, pretty sure that wasn't four nights ago.

My post wasn't just in regards to how ice cold the Vikings ran - it was pointing out that the NFL Head of Officiating ADMITTED that the Saints ran red hot with regards to the way calls were made on the field / not overturned on replay.

Just in case Vikings fans wanted to feel a little bit worse about it.

sick bump.

I thought it was a little bit excessive that they were willing to take a 15 yard penalty crushing Favre after a handoff in the 1st quarter but, like Favre said, it's football.

The fact the NFL Network has pulled the game TWICE in the last 2 days really makes you wonder what they are trying to hide from the fans. Vikings players on Twitter have gone off about this also:

@Brian_Robison Brian, thoughts on the Saints bounty on Favre?
Brian Robison ‏ @Brian_Robison Close
not good
@Brian_Robison Heaven forbid the Saints come the Vikings way again in the next 1-3 years. Brees will find out what LEGAL hard hitting is!
Brian Robison ‏ @Brian_Robison Close
legal is the key word

Percy Harvin ‏ @Percy_Harvin
I hope there not on schedule bc that will be in the back off my mind .... God forgive we dnt play them I hate dirty ball

Chris Kluwe ‏ @ChrisWarcraft
Wow, I hadn't even seen the whole Saints Bountygate thing. **** all of you that participated in that with the intent to injure.

Chris Kluwe ‏ @ChrisWarcraft Close
Football's a violent game, but there's a difference between playing hard and playing to hurt someone. That **** is unacceptable.
