this game will be decided by turnovers. both teams have very similar styles with the smashmouth d and power run, west coast schemes.

i'm going hawks, just cuz the d is a bit more aggressive and will probably force more turnovers. san fran has an amazing, straight up d but they don't bring the heat the way seattle does. 49ers might be able to keep the score low but if they can't force turnovers they won't be able to win the game.

seattle 16, san fran 13

On top of all the terribleness that is Harbaugh's outfit he takes it to the next level by tucking in his sweatshirt.

yes no one ever in history has received a concussion in a game and then passed concussion protocol and played in a game the next week, never happened, ever... ever...

if it was anyone other than harvin then yes, there would be a chance of them playing the following week

Since so many people seem confident Harvin doesn't play, who wants to lay me 25-1 that he does play?

I just think it's highly doubtful. Guy has a history of injury issues and lingering issues. Guy just got a concussion. Guy didn't practice on Wednesday before a Sunday game. Like he could come back, it's been protocol for that not to happen with the Hawks this year. As a 9er fan at this point I'm not really that worried about Harvin. He should be a little nervous after last weeks game and should be a little off since he's been out most of the year. If the Hawks want to feature Harvin, so be it. I'd rather them feature Harvin than Lynch. Cause I know if they feature Lynch and he does well, we are f'ed.

I think the Seahawks win by throwing the damn football. Bowman and Willis are too good for the run game to grind down the 49ers like they do to other teams. Their secondary, on the other hand, is mediocre, so a healthy Harvin should be a pretty big boon.

Edit: I have zero $tats to back any of that up, but who needs math when you have feels

Not just their secondary, but Willis is exploitable in coverage. And Brooks has some exploitable tendencies in run support.

given the noise that will be this game, and Kaep/harbaugh's complete inability to get plays in, what is the over/under on when SF burns their first three TO's...

8mins into game seems about right

Interesting. I think of Willis as ++coverage linebacker, so I'd imagine he can plug that leak after watching the film.

Why do we keep pretending concussions are like other injuries?

I think a lot of this is scheme, not so much a lack of talent. TEs down the seam are a classic way to attack a cover two, esp. when you run two go routes outside, and yes, even when you have superman at ILB. Harbaugh could abandon his cover 2 looks, but then he's giving up 1-on-1s outside. While Tate, Kearse, and Baldwin may not be Megatron, but I like their chances one on one against the 9ers secondary, which gave up 4 catches for 104 yards to Ted ****ing Ginn Jr.

59 of Ginns yards came on the last play of the game in garbage time. RW hasn't exactly played well against our secondary in any of the games the last 2 seasons.
