1. Ohio state
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. TCU
5. Baylor
6. Bama
7. Michigan state
8. Stanford
9. Iowa
10. Oklahoma State

All of these teams in if they win out (could end with 5 of above teams winning out but no chance that happens).

Does 1-loss Bama get in over 2-loss Ole Miss even tho Ole Miss will be the SEC Champ in that scenario?

It helps Ole Miss if they get to beat FL in SECCG to avenge their loss to them

Bama would probably be ahead. Lots would depend how they both look against LSU and MSstate down the stretch.

I have a hard time seeing a 2 loss SEC champ when one of those is losses is to Memphis.

11. Florida
12. Oklahoma
13. Utah

Probably all are in the above category.

No. Bama will be really hurt by not playing Florida. In that scenario bama would finish the season with one quality win- LSU, while ole miss would have three quality wins- LSU, Florida and Bama, and an sec championship.

Virginia sucks this year, so I didn't care about the FSU/GT game, but that was a fun ending to watch. Congrats, GT fans.

Also, the "WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE" line was the GOAT.

I don't think 11-1 bama is a lock to be in over 11-2 ole miss, but i would definitely say they are the favorite.

we all know that ole miss win was pretty damn fluky so that certainly helps bama. I also don't think who OM beats in the SECCG makes a difference. I mean the better the other team the better, but 10-2 UGA or 10-2 Florida doesn't really matter. I wouldn't put much consideration in avenging the loss to Florida.

It would definitely be a weird and interesting scenario imo. It goes w/o saying that OM needs Memphis to keep winning.

Actually OM playing UGA might help to give us another comparison. Say that game is close, let's compare that to Alabama destroying UGA in Athens.

I think it's clear from last year the committee values the conference championship game so I think Bama gets left out 100 percent of the time.

I think Bama is probably behind any 12-1 Conference Champ but ahead of any 11-2 Conference Champ if they finish 11-1.

It could depend on other factors...if tOSU, Baylor, TCU, Clemson, Sparty lose next week then the first rankings will have LSU 1 and Bama top 3...then Bama beats LSU pretty soundly then Bama is #1 and doesn't lose again then tough to leapfrog them by 2-loss Ole Miss just for winning that SECCG

If the top teams don't lose for awhile so Bama stays around 4/5 during the season then easier to leapfrog them

Of course, if other 4 conferences have 1-loss champs then SEC gets left out of Ole Miss is SEC Champ

PAC is most likely to have 2-loss champ

At this point it's decently likely B1G/B12 have 1-loss team since multiple undefeated and Clemson could lose just one the rest of way for ACC

I don't think Poll Stickiness is such a huge factor for this Committee. They moved TCU from 3 to 6 on the last week despite winning by 50.

So I don't see the Committee having any trouble jumping teams late. They have specifically stated they reevaluate each week instead of starting with the previous week's rankings.

True

I guess it comes down to a 2-loss champ in a different conference (say PAC)

Then it's between Ole Miss at 11-2 and Bama at 11-1

How much they weight losses vs champs vs head to head vs game contrkl

This is probably accurate.

Another thing tho, even if ole miss wins out I think the committee puts them last among 1-loss conference champs, so they'd need two two-loss conference champs to make the playoff.

or a 3 loss champ, and no place in the playoff

I hope so

Even after we crush their soul, they will still have a ton to play for because they know if they beat Ole Miss and we lose a game then they are in
