The East had 1 seed upset in all of it's games (#3 Lville beating #2 UTK). South had 1 upset, #5 MSU beating #4 Pitt. MW/West had a few more upsets but still a ton of chalk. WKU also made the E8 that year.

Siena only won one game, so they didn't make the S16, but I get your point. I was looking at it in terms of close games rather than number of upsets. It is great that a 13-seed like Siena won, but that game was a blowout also, as they won by 21. Definitely a good year for low seeds making it far, but a not a good year for good games until the great final.

East region that year probably WOAT.

the 11 seeds went 3-1, a lot has we've been spoiled with 3/4 seed failures lately and that didn't happen so it feels worse than it was.

honestly don't know how some of you guys watch entire seasons of this. the officiating is like taking the worst NFL crew x 1000. every game reminds me of King-Lakers WCF
