Not only that, but Michigan nowhere close to being ranked. I guess beating Illinois by a small margin is more impressive than blowing out UCONN. DENARD FOR HEISMAN!

Guys, they've gone 8-16 the last 2 years, and they started this year by winning one home game.

It's not bloody murder that they're not ranked. If they continue to win, they'll blow through the rankings faster than most other teams who started unranked would because they're Michigan.

It's not like Kentucky or Maryland are close to being ranked either.

Amongst Michigan fans, it's been a known fact since Jan 2, 1998 that the coaches poll is ****ing ******ed!

1) Alabama - team to beat. Showed little weakness.
2) Ohio State - Strong performance week 1, but a few flaws that need work.
3) Boise State - Very impressive performance against VT. A bit of a letdown in the 2nd half, but they get it done.
4) Nebraska - QB questions still exist, but they moved the ball well and had a stout D.
5) TCU - A somewhat unimpressive win over a decent team beats unimpressive wins over terrible teams
6) Texas - Got things together at the end, although off to a slow start. They'll improve.
7) Oregon - Sure it was a crap team, but no team looked more dominant.
8) Miami - Florida A&M is garbage, but Miami looked good where a lot of teams looked bad.
9) Iowa
10) Wisconsin
11) Virginia Tech
12) USC
13) Oklahoma
14) Florida
15) Utah
16) FSU
17) Arkansas
18) Penn St.
19) West Virginia
20) Michigan
21) Georgia
22) Georgia Tech
23) Auburn
24) Oregon State
25) Notre Dame

Just outside: BYU and Stanford.
Most intelligent post in this thread.

Oddly, the last decade of football isn't being ranked.
Only this season.

Unless this is bcs eligible only, you're missing someone. Unimpressive, but still clearly top 20.

Don't worry about the rankings. We've got GT at home after a bye this year.

I hope they win the ACC coastal or whatever and are ranked in the top 10 again. Honestly.

LOL

On a serious note, as a Notre Dame fan let me inform everyone that we're nowhere near being one of the best 25 teams in the country. And we ain't going to be at any point in this season.

I actually was about to edit my post to make it Top 25, but it was too late so I just left it. If I'd done that, I would have had:

21. Arizona
22. USC
23. Auburn
24. Stanford
25. Michigan

I just don't see USC as being that good this year though. They already were coming off a pretty weak 2009 where they didn't finish in the Top 20 of Sagarin predictor, and weren't exactly returning a ton of talent. Then they replaced one of the absolute best coaches in the country with Lane Kiffin, and had extra people transfer away due to the NCAA regulations. I just don't really see why they would improve this year.

And then on top of that base, they go play a Hawaii team that was breaking in 4 new starters on the offensive line, and they give up 36 points and 588 yards. This is supposed to be a Top 15/Top 20 team why?

Look at me, I can't actually make my own list of rankings, but I like to go look down on other people's lists when they don't rank my favorite team in the Top 10. ANGER! LOUD NOISES!

If by "probable Big East champs" you mean "darkhorse pick because they are clearly the #3 team in the 8 team Big East but the top two teams have flaws" then, yeah.

I mean lol at picking UConn to win the big east when they have literally, never, ever, not once in the history of their entire program, beaten West Virginia. (And have only lost 1 game by single digits, and have an average margin of defeat of 22 points)

Also, complaining about Michigan not being ranked is silly.

If they don't make a bowl it will be because they got DENARDED so hard they couldn't recover.
