You are suggesting that one of the up backs should motion over between the center and the punter and intercept the snap and run it? LOL that's absurd. They aren't wildcat QBs, they're blockers. Unless you have Johnny Football out there, who has the balls to do that kind of thing with the game on the line?
Or are you saying one of them should have run up and done a QB sneak? It's easy to see that it would work sitting at home, but if your job is to block for the punt, you're not going to be counting defenders and audibling to a QB sneak. Even if you did, the center would probably be like WTF ARE YOU DOING DUDE? and Malzahn would have called a TO as soon as he saw it developing anyway.
