I have no hard liquor. Not even any wine or anything. Just Bud Light and tears of sadness.

Also, Eltbus, come right the **** ****ing at me, bro

So I watched the clip and plan on being an ortho surgeon... that makes me an expert right? Cue the lulz, i know that's bull****.

Anyways, it looks like a proximal tibial fracture. Orthobullets says indications for closed reduction and casting are:

Quote:
< 5 degrees varus-valgus angulation
< 10 degrees anterior/posterior angulation
> 50% cortical apposition
< 1 cm shortening
< 10 degrees rotational alignment
So that's the criteria they're working with. Basically they're going to pull on his leg under anesthesia and see if they can get it close, then cast it.

Chubb should do whatever is best for Chubb, not whatever gets him back on the field quickest.

Ikes, please don't do that. Please please please. We know, you're in med school. Don't dumb up the thread with wild semi-educated guesses.

I mean that's just bad poasting.

He broke the top part of his shin bone. They're going to try to put the pieces of that bone close together and see if it heals.

No, you assumed that you could diagnose based on a video. Then you offered the textbook-copied treatment for that diagnosis.

I am laughing at your initial assumption.

Dude the break is ****ing clear as day. Like it isn't some mystery where the bone fracture is. It's where the leg bent the wrong way. It's isn't exactly subtle.

Which is why I asked you, based on the video and your knowledge, please provide a percentage - how confident are you in this diagnosis?

I am semi-drunk, how am I the one that needs to explain the path of the conversation to you?
