Welcome to week 11 in the college football season. Can you believe we are already in week 11? It’s gone by way too fast imo. Holliday, if you planned on making the week 11 thread, I’m sorry. I figured we should get one up since it’s getting a bit close. Feel free to still post your weekly stuff though. I enjoy reading it.

Some great games this weekend. Posting the top 25 schedule only because I’m lazy. Look up the rest if you don’t see your favorite team.

Predictions!

Ohio state will lose to lol sparty. Urbz claims he forgot how to coach and says he will retire after the season due to health concerns.
Auburn will cover +14 at uga but lose by around 7.
Florida will lose again continuing their free fall. Florida fans begin to panic and start questioning Mullen.
Michigan will beat Rutgers 68-0.
Fsu will keep Notre Dame close for a while and then fall apart in the second half. We lol Willie some more!
Clemson blows the **** out of BC. Why is gameday there again?
Bama will post their second straight shutout beating the cowbells 34-0. And then I cry knowing Auburn has no shot to beat them this year.

Pretty decent MACtion last night, even had an enthusiastic crowd.

I've got tOSU hammering Sparty, Sparty's pass defense can be exploited and Haskins is just the guy to do it. Plus Sparty's offense isn't great.

Read this morning that Book is out for ND this week, good thing for them that this is the LOL version of FLOLrida State. ND wins by 30 anyway.

War Eagle!

My FSU bud is going to the Notre Dame game. I feel kinda bad for him. He bought the tickets way before the season thinking this would be one of the biggest games of the season, or at least FSU’s season. Now all it is is another game on the schedule for Notre Dame with FSU fighting to keep their bowl streak alive. Spoiler alert: it’s going to end this year.

Is that "Michigan to give up under 50 yards of offense"? If so, I agree.

Cool. No work done yet so no sweat. Was hoping to do it for a distraction last night but wife is pretty distraught at losing the dog. Usually I'd just go ahead and chloroform her or tell her to talk to Alexa but you've gotta' occasionally work in communication just to keep it GTO and put it in her mind that's in my range.

Thanks.

I guess I was looking forward to talking about Tennessee's epic facemelting performance against Charlotte last week, which has somewhat flown under the radar; 1 offensive touchdown, 20 yards rushing, etc., etc. I'm sure they'll do better against Kentucky though

Hello football friends!

My girlfriend just launched her company today Great Jones

They're getting good launch press from Vogue, Fast Company and a few others lined up for later today, and have raised $3m in funding already.

Check it out, spread the word, buy some pots.

Pretty hyped for Saturday:

Noon slot:
WVU/TCU obviously. Happy this game is at home, and that Turpin is suspended. This is exactly the sort of decent opponent that contenders lose to. Was pretty worried about being able to contain Turpin, but since he's done I think we should get this one

OSU@Sparty - all the fringe contenders (Wazzu/WVU/UCF/BC) are rooting hard for Sparty here. Basically two chances to eliminate the B1G, and it's Sparty beats OSU who then wins, or the West winner beats OSU/Michigan winner

3:30 slot:
Bama/Cowbell - I think cowbell is the best team Bama has played all year. Their record is only 6-3, but they are +1.2 yards per play, have only given up 2 TDs in their last 51 defensive possessions and are stout against both the pass and the run. I don't expect them to win, since they probably can't move the ball with their one dimensional offense, but it will be a really good test for Bama's offense... remember they only lost by 7 last year

Michigan/Rutgers - Want to see some perverse stats in this one. Rutgers might have negative yards at halftime.

Bedlam - Not getting much hype?? Cowboy State beat Boise and Texas, and Oklahoma's offense is insane to watch

Wazzu@Colorado - the altitude makes this tricky... if Wazzu can win this, they probably are 10-1 going in to the Apple Cup

Night slot:
Oregon/Utah is underrated, should be fun even though Utah lost their QB

Auburn@UGA seems to be forgotten too, people wrote off Auburn after they lost to Tenn, but they're still decent.

FSU@ND - See if 4-5 FSU can do everybody a favor and put ND on the ropes

Texas@Texas Tech - huge game for B12 title race. Texas is probably out of the race with a loss

Clemson@BC - obvious

Cal@USC - As a Cal fan, I am 0-14 against USC. This feels like the year.

A few thoughts as an excuse to rag on Tennessee;

Thursday, November 8

Wake Forest at*14*NC State @ 7:30pm - ESPN

Friday, November 9

Louisville at*13*Syracuse @ 7:00pm - ESPN2
23*Fresno State at Boise State @ 10:15pm - ESPN2
Your proverbial "ranked team as a road dog to an unranked" situation (which seems like it's come up a lot more than usual this year). It was fun watching Boise State play in their old blues at home last week against BYU but this is a conference game so I think they're contractually barred from that. Fresno's game to watch.

Saturday, November 10

Akron at Eastern Michigan @ 12:00pm - ESPN3
BYU at UMass @ 12:00pm - ES/NESN
Illinois at Nebraska @ 12:00pm - BTN
Nebraska trying to build on that "moral victory" of only losing to Ohio State by 5 may, actually, need to watch for a letdown in this game. Say, what's the difference between a field goal and a touchdown + 2 point conversion? 5 points? How 'bout that.

Kansas at Kansas State @ 12:00pm - FSN
Lafayette at Army @ 12:00pm - CBSSN
Not to be confused with "Louisianna-Lafayette", this is a FCS Patriot League team from Easton, Pennsylvania.

Maryland at Indiana @ 12:00pm - BTN
Navy at*12*UCF @ 12:00pm - ESPN2
10*Ohio State at*18*Michigan State @ 12:00pm - FOX
Ole Miss at Texas A&M @ 12:00pm - CBS
SMU at UConn @ 12:00pm - ESPN3
South Carolina at*15*Florida @ 12:00pm - ESPN
Remember when the SCar coach was the Florida coach. That was pretty funny. This team should not be ranked. Sounds like they're back to Franks after a QB practice injury.

TCU at*9*West Virginia @ 12:00pm - FS1
Tulsa at Memphis @ 12:00pm - ESPNU
Vanderbilt at Missouri @ 12:00pm - SECN
Wisconsin at*20*Penn State @ 12:00pm - ABC
North Carolina at Duke @ 12:20pm - Raycom Sports
Duke's a big favorite (-10.5) which still sounds like a mistake somehow except UNC is now 1-7 with 5 straight losses.

Troy at Georgia Southern @ 1:00pm - ESPN+
A big game in the Sunbelt East. Both teams are 7-2 with Troy 5-0 in conference so far one game ahead of RunGSU and Appalachian State. West is a cluster****, but East is playing out to expectations.

UCLA at Arizona State @ 2:00pm - Pac-12N
Charlotte at Marshall @ 2:30pm - ESPN+
Bowling Green at Central Michigan @ 3:00pm - ESPN+
Liberty at Virginia @ 3:00pm - RSN/ESPN3
Middle Tennessee at UTEP @ 3:00pm - ESPN+
Baylor at*22*Iowa State @ 3:30pm - FS1
4*Michigan at Rutgers @ 3:30pm - BTN
11*Kentucky at Tennessee @ 3:30pm - SECN
Let's just be clear; Charlotte is a bad team. They're 91st in adjusted YPP allowed. 20 yards rushing on 26 attempts. 192 total yards. 1 offensive touchdown. 10 first down. 7 punts on 9 possessions. 4-12 on 3rd down conversions. Two full quarters with offensive success rates in the low teens. This is what Tennessee managed accomplish at home against Charlotte. A staggering performance and thank god they avoided any turnovers.

16*Mississippi State at*1*Alabama @ 3:30pm - CBS
26 points this time.

New Mexico at Air Force @ 3:30pm - CBSSN
North Texas at Old Dominion @ 3:30pm - ESPN3
Northwestern at*21*Iowa @ 3:30pm - FOX
Oklahoma State at*6*Oklahoma @ 3:30pm - ABC
Purdue at Minnesota @ 3:30pm - ESPN2
Virginia Tech at Pitt @ 3:30pm - ESPNU
I think Pitt is in the lead for the ACC bad division. Maybe that's good news for UCF, who destroyed them?

8*Washington State at Colorado @ 3:30pm - ESPN
Appalachian State at Texas State @ 4:00pm - ESPN3
East Carolina at Tulane @ 4:00pm - ESPNews
Not that they're there yet, but I think Tulane is progressing as a program.

San Jose State at Utah State @ 4:00pm - Facebook
Arkansas State at Coastal Carolina @ 5:00pm - ESPN+
Georgia State at Louisiana @ 5:00pm - ESPN+
ULM at South Alabama @ 5:00pm - ESPN+
Looks like the Warhawks may win the West by default.

WKU at Florida Atlantic @ 5:00pm - Facebook
Oregon at Utah @ 5:30pm - Pac-12N
Utah's QB got knocked out for the year with a broken collarbone, but let's see if they come up with a winning formula from here. Should be ranked, obviously. Just swap them with Florida.

24*Auburn at*5*Georgia @ 7:00pm - ESPN
I just realized Kentucky was a real big game for Fields; not only did he get 6(!) plays, but one of them was an actual pass! He tucked it and ran, but still! Gotta hand it to that kid for his patience; if I was waiting a month for a pass play, I'm 100% making that throw **** all consequences. Auburn's rushing stats last week look a lot like Tennessee's but at least they just gave up on it after a while.

FIU at UTSA @ 7:00pm - ESPN+
Miami (FL) at Georgia Tech @ 7:00pm - ESPN2
Richt knows a thing or two about taking on this offense, and a hard-learned lesson it was.

Rice at LA Tech @ 7:00pm - ESPN+
Temple at Houston @ 7:00pm - CBSSN
A bit of a dud after Houston was upended by SMU but Temple has still been fun team to follow this year and I'd like to see them finish on a high note. Racked up a couple of injuries to key players last week, but depth has been a strength for them which gives me hope they can weather the Houston hurry-up offense.

USF at Cincinnati @ 7:00pm - ESPNU
While USF has been crashing like the underlying stats said they should, Cincy has mostly been cruising after the Temple loss and is still in the AmEast race.

Florida State at*3*Notre Dame @ 7:30pm - NBC
ND may be back to Wimbush for this one. Stickman did a fine job for FSU last week, better than Francois despite 5 sacks which is probably less than he'll suffer this week.

7*LSU at Arkansas @ 7:30pm - SECN
Do us all a favor, Arky. It's really not that hard.

Southern Miss at UAB @ 7:30pm - beIN SPORTS
19*Texas at Texas Tech @ 7:30pm - FOX
Dear doctors for the Texas Tech quarterback who was cleared to play after a collapsed lung and had it collapse again in the Oklahoma game; you suck. I've had a collapsed lung and they wouldn't even clear me to go outside in the cold for a month and I'm pretty sure if I'd asked them if it'd be OK if I played contact football they'd have had me committed right then and there. A collapsed lung means you're done for the season. Hope that helps.

2*Clemson at*17*Boston College @ 8:00pm - ABC
BC's chance for glory facing an 18 point spread.

Oregon State at Stanford @ 9:00pm - Pac-12N
Colorado State at Nevada @ 10:30pm - ESPNU
UNLV at San Diego State @ 10:30pm - ESPN2
California at USC @ 10:30pm - ESPN
It's been a while since Cal beat USC and while the talent discrepancy is unspeakably enormous the play discrepancy has been much less so.

IDK how you can lose 29-0 at home and only drop 4 spots. Hopefully Ark can beat them and drop them down to 18th.

I really wonder where the committee would have had Florida before the UGA game. 2nd straight butt-kicking neither even a road game and this one to Mizzu who isn't even on the committee's radar and they fall just 4 places as well. "Can't hold losing at Florida against LSU!" meanwhile Missouri's biggest problem in that game was scraping dog**** off their shoes.

Basically feels like they're sending the message, "Who gives a **** about the regular season." which pretty much sucks for those of us who only care about the regular season.
