LOL Grantham. I kind of doubt they are going after a former SEC DC to follow Pellini. Just a hunch.

When they introduce the next Michigan head coach it'd be funny as hell if the coach came out to address the press wearing a headset.

Well Petrino makes no sense. We all know Nebraska holds itself to highest ethical standards.

LOL at Schu

If Nebraska thinks they are too good for Frost then the B1G will forever suck. After the obvious home run hires you are never getting you are left with perhaps the most badass OC in the game or a hired gun like Petrino.

Frost is actually your home run hire. He could be a lifer which has to count for something. He runs a system that doesn't require 5 star guys. Oregon recruits at a similar level to Nebraska which he has already proven will win. You are also recruiting spread kids from Texas which will obviously help if you have one of the best Spread coaches in the game. You would plow through the BIG West. There are no innovative offenses there. Hire a great DC and you now have the easiest route to the playoffs in all college football.

I would take Frost over probably 95% of college coaches. He may flame out but you have to pull the trigger on a guy who has playoff equity, has a system that fits your recruiting ground the best, and is a guy who could be a lifer. Hire a Harbaugh or Petrino and you are looking for a new coach in 3 years after they move on to something bigger and better.

I mean lol Schu. Maybe you are a bit too delusional. Maybe your AD has his hire already and I'll eat my words but Frost has so much upside for Nebraska is crazy

quick question, did you actually read schu's post?

As an pseudo Mich fan I'd be OK with OSU's OC if they strike out on Angry Jim.

I don't think Milo actually reads posts, he just forms a view of other posts based on the rambling rant that he wishes to unleash rather than the actual content of the post in question

That's a ton of credit to give a guy who totally could still be living off a Chip contact high and who we haven't seen work without an otherworldly QB. He might be a good hire, but let's not put the guy in the Hall just yet.

Milo thinks we should run the Oregon spread at Nebraska, in the B1G West, which shows how ****ing clueless he is

It's really hard to judge talent in the shadow of a great coach.

If you're DC under a great defensive HC or OC under a great offensive HC, you get a lot of credit you may not deserve. You may not even be a very good coach at all. Or maybe you're good as a caretaker once someone else has built a good offense or defense but you can't really build one yourself.

How long until someone completely forgets the ****show that was USC under Kiffin (and the example of Weis at Kansas), and gives Lane another HC job?

Why is running the spread bad? Is it not traditional enough for Nebraska?

I think he is saying they don't have the athletes to run it because its the b1g west?

Yeah let's try to run a high-powered spread with mid-tier midwestern recruits in the northern part of the country in November against front sevens that will blow the line of scrimmage up, sounds brilliant

It could probably work, but I don't know if we could recruit to it. Would be way easier and better to recruit to a power running game

Petrino leaving Louisville after one year would be way too perfect

lulz oregon plays against better front sevens than you do every week and does just fine. This is really stupid schu.

http://www.garnetandblackattack.com/...ve-coordinator

Muschamp vacationing in the Carribean basically deciding if it's Auburn, A&M or SC.

All 3 have offensive masterminds he could learn from. Auburn has familiarity and Malzahn has proven he can win championships at Auburn even with average to bad defenses. A&M has better talent on D returning and the biggest bankroll. SC has a legend and mentor at coach and the possibility of taking over as a head coach in 2-3 years.

Looks like Odom from Memphis is very likely to go to A&M or Auburn, which would be a nice consolation prize.
