If Oregon would have taken the common top team route and scheduled a cupcake week 1 instead of a hard game like Auburn they are probably playoffing now assuming an LSU win

Of course they would be. Also if they had an extra cupcake instead of 9 regular season conference games they'd be in too. They need to bump it to 8 ASAP. All P5 champs + Top G5 champ + 2 at Large teams. Yes the 4 team is better than BCS but that's not saying much.
