Harbough is an incredible coach and I don't know McCarthy is anything special at Ohio State without Harbough.
The biggest loss of all though is losing Dylan Raiola. Raiola looked good throwing with CJ Stroud when he was like 15 and now he is just other level. Three years of Raiola and Jeremiah Smith would have been ridiculous.
All Michigan fans should be Raiola fans at this point.
Raiola would have beat out this QB clown show we have this year as a true freshman pretty easily or Ewers would have won the Heisman this year if on Ohio State.
Borg, there's not alot of Ohio State representation around here these days. You should stick around for the regular season! Yea I was happy to see Raiola not go to Ohio State but then again OSU is always so loaded with talent it almost doesn't matter. That's why I will never claim Michigan is the better program. As long as Ohio State recruits top 3 and we recruit top 15 Ohio State is the CLEAR better program.

I'm not sure what to think about Ohio State's QB situation this year but I really wouldn't be that concerned if I were you. Times are different now. Ohio State literally has the whole season to figure that out cuz 10-2 playoff berth is their worst case scenario with THAT avengers roster.

In the past losing one game could cost you everything as you well know (93,95,96,98,15,21,23). Back then, picking the wrong QB at first or your QB/offense taking too long to figure it out could easily cost you a game and 1 loss was often all it took to sink your battleship. The runway is longer now. By the time Ohio State plays in November they'll be the team they're supposed to be.

That said I don't foresee any problems. I'm projecting this Ohio State team to be the 2nd best Ohio State team in my lifetime. 2019 Ohio State before Justin Fields got banged up is #1. I got them going 16-0 winning it all. I think Michigan will be 8-3 going into The Game with a chance to beat the #1 team and sneak into the playoffs. It won't happen tho. Just hope it's a game in the 4th quarter.

Of course I had to jump on and murder Navy. Option football is a blast.

Only complaint is that there isn’t an offline standalone season mode. The closest is dynasty mode and you have to recruit which is a PITA. So I’m hand waving most of the recruiting and just playing the games.

Those were the days. Between that game and discovering online poker, it's no wonder I ended up dropping out of college the following year.

Stayed in college to get a pointless degree but the video game cost me a girlfriend and poker cost me several. Those really were the days.

If I look back at the texts between me and my friends, me and my dad, or me and my three teenage 2nd cousins, all boys, one who is my roommate right now--"vulgar texts of a freaky nature" would be a good title/summary. I mean we're talking abouts guys here man.

Remember the people telling us to just wait until Deion installs his culture and gets his players?

These teams are in the same conference!!!

I still can't get over this

I have Florida's win total at 5-7 and missing a bowl game (Vegas is the same)

If they played Mizzou's schedule, they'd be at 8.5-3.5, totally live for the playoffs

Florida has a 53% chance of going 9-3 or better and a 23% chance of going 10-2 or better against Mizzou's schedule

Their odds against their own schedule? 0.5% to go 9-3 and 0.0% (not a single sim in 15,000) to go 10-2 or better

Another fun fact:

Florida State and Clemson are the #1 and #2 projected teams in the ACC. Guess how many conference opponents they have in common?

ZERO. (probably by design - they didn't want to make somebody play both of them, and they do play each other)

I seriously feel like I'm freerolling for the rest of my life. I'm 46. Just a few years ago I never thought Michigan was ever gonna break through and win it all in the remaining years of my lifetime. Basically I never saw a pathway for a team to win it all unless they were institutionally committed to illegally paying players like Bama, Georgia, tOSU and a few others. I felt like teams like ND and Michigan were ****ed forever until possibly revenue sharing became standard. So yeah I'm permanently content now. Totally satisfied if Michgian never wins it all for the rest of my life becuz they did it....twice.

I remember at the end of the national title game one of the announcers saying--I think it was Chris Fowler--"the 26 year championship drought for Michigan is over." And I was like "um, no." For teams that dont buy recruits, winning it all once every 26 years is AWESOME. But yeah for a team like Bama, three years without winning it is probably a drought. Certainly Ohio State is in a drought given all the money they've thrown at players over the years but that's partially their fault for running a finesse Big 12 offense when Harbaugh is in your conference.
