With realignment if Iowa played Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA, how many points would you expect them to give up total?

[ ] About 50

[ ] About 200?

The narrative about the "great D" in the Big 10 would evaporate from the face of the globe along with the flat earth theory. (Well there would be some holdouts, I guess, regarding both narratives. )

Other way around. Those pac12 offenses would be exposed for the mediocrities they are.

Either way like I said before this is a game Michigan is supposed to win. We have the best QB in the nation, a sure 1st rounder. They have a guy that will probably not get drafted. I mean McCord is not bad but he's still the worst Ohio State quarterback since Steve Bellisari). Think about that for a second. Let that sink in. Michigan has the best QB in their history of the program vs the worst Ohio State QB in over 20 years. Michigan is at home with a peak, veteran roster that may have 15-20 NFL draft picks. This is the type of game that Michigan should win by 2 TDs+ and YET I can't ignore the fact that I think that this moment is too big for Sherrone Moore.

I watched how Moore turtled up vs the turtles when things got tight, run run punting, literally trying to lose the game evoking repressed Lloyd Carr memories/nightmares. We all know from watching sports the better team often loses. Well the recipe for Michigan blowing this game is certainly in place. Even tho Ryan Day has proven to be a terrible big game coach I still think he's a big upgrade over Moore becuz Moore is simply not ready for this yet. So yeah I'm nervous & concerned. In my head I just keep looping back to the comforting fact that we have JJ and they don't and honestly that should be enough.

As an aside: Me and my dad have almost watched every Michigan game together since 1988. Voluntarily, we both may not watch one second of this Ohio State game live. My dad said this game is so big there's no way he'll be able to enjoy it. Too much stress. So the plan is for us to turn our phones off and take a drive to the Valley of Fire state park (about an hour and a half from Vegas I think), walk around for awhile, then drive back and check the final score in his condo parking lot. If we lose it wont be nearly as painful as watching it happen. If the final score is the way it should be then it's pure jubilation without the stress/worry/torture of watching it unfold. I still believe my dad will cancel this plan before kickoff but maybe not. I must confess I'm serenely fine with the idea. How dumb is that. Literally the biggest game in Michigan history and we're probably gonna miss it becuz we're too grown men super invested in an event we have no control over played by teens and 20ish year olds. Lolsports.
Good call. Michigan will get exposed.

I think the Michigan/Ohio State game comes down to what it did the last two years and it's why Michigan will win again.

Ohio State has no clear plan for 3rd and 3 or 4th and 2. Michigan knows exactly what it wants to do in those spots. Ohio State isn't built to grind out those yards, they couldn't convert through the air with CJ Stroud, I don't see why they can with Kyle McCord. Running straight ahead at Kris Jenkins, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant just isn't an option.

I'm a bit worried about Michigan's passing game as it makes sense to me that Harbaugh is heavily involved in that aspect of design and play calling given Moore's background and other staff losses over the past year. But ultimately I just don't see the way that Ohio State gets over 24 points against this defense, and Michigan can get to 27.

They are 99% on ESPN's playoff predictor if they win out, so it seems extremely unlikely.

You could say "well Travis is injured, so they aren't as good", but they would have won a relatively tough rivalry game at the Swamp and then beat a top 10 in the ACCCG, which would show that they're still pretty good even with Rodemaker.

It'd be easier to leave them out if Travis had gone down in the ACCCG imo b/c then you could more easily make the case that they could suck minus Travis.

Sports betting is impossible. I'll be perfectly content to go 1-6 tomorrow if you catch my drift.

Can't believe this is even a discussion. I get that technically it's an invitational not a playoff but still.

Agree. Ohio State can't win this game but Moore can lose it. That's what keeps me up at night.

Since 2000, the highest win total for a team that averaged under 250 yards per game was 4. Iowa's currently averaging like 246.5 and has 9 wins.

They've already got 207 yards early in the 3rd though, so threatening to break the 250 plateau.

Nothing like going conservative to set up a 44 yard FG into the wind with a kicker who is like 8/14

Earlier in the game, Iowa had a 1st and goal from the 10 and ran it straight up the middle for no gain 3 times.

This is a game only the "Punts" sweatshirt guys could enjoy.

Nebraska burnt their last timeout with the ball to avoid a delay of game with 23 seconds left in the game. Corn, you deserve this.

Iowa only had about 50 yards in the 2nd half to end on 257, so for now they'll still be under 250 and now with 10! wins

Ferentz should win B1G coach of the year and I'm being dead serious. They're not giving it to Harbaugh for obvious reasons. They're not gonna give it to Day after their season is rendered a total failure tomorrow. So who else is there. It's really between the Northwestern guy and Ferentz. Going 10-2, winning the B1G West division, after losing your starting QB, other key injuries at TE, losing arguably the best defender in the B1G in Cooper Dejean, having a crooked ref steal a game from you, and your OC gets fired in the middle of the season. My god. You gotta give Ferentz the prize here.

We’d know more if PAC12 didn’t play their cupcake OOC but USC got manhandled and held to their lowest point total 20 by Notre Dame
